Best MSPs for Agriculture & Food Production in Minneapolis (2026)

Kate Larsen, IT Research Analyst · Last updated: June 12, 2026 · No paid placements
Marco Technologies ranks #1 among Minneapolis MSPs for agriculture and food production, earning 8.0/10 for a published food manufacturing cyberattack case study, the broadest documented service stack, and Cloudtango MSP Select recognition. Netrio (formerly SUCCESS Computer Consulting) ranks second at 7.6/10 with the strongest verified review profile in the market, and Corporate Technologies (7.4/10) brings the largest review volume by a clear margin. Stoneridge Software (6.7/10) has the deepest agriculture vertical practice but ranks lower on the thin public review footprint the Trust Score weights heavily. Rankings reflect six factors applied the same way to every provider.

Quick Picks

  • Best Overall: Marco Technologies — 8.0/10
  • Best for Agriculture Vertical Depth: Stoneridge Software — 6.7/10
  • Best for Twin Cities Mid-Market Food Processors: Netrio (formerly SUCCESS) — 7.6/10
  • Best for SMB & Local Accountability: RYMARK IT Navigation — 6.2/10

Five of the world’s 30 largest food and agriculture companies are headquartered in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul region: Cargill, General Mills, Land O’Lakes, CHS, and Hormel. That’s per the Greater MSP economic development partnership, and it isn’t just the Fortune 500 names — Greater MSP counts more than 17,000 people in food and beverage manufacturing alone.

If you run IT for a Minnesota food processor, contract manufacturer, ag retailer, dairy operation, or commodity processing facility, your MSP shortlist looks nothing like the generic “Best Managed IT Providers in Minneapolis” lists. You need a partner who understands FSMA preventive controls, HACCP digital recordkeeping, OT/IT segmentation on the plant floor, and the SCADA-to-historian-to-ERP data flow that runs your line. Most lists ignore this. This one doesn’t.

We evaluated managed service providers for agriculture and food production in Minneapolis using the itreviews.co Trust Score methodology and scored seven against six fixed criteria. No provider paid for placement, and no provider submitted their own data. Want to see exactly how we score every provider? The full methodology is public.

How We Ranked These MSPs

Every provider scored on the same six criteria, weighted the same way, using the same independently researched data sources. Higher score, higher rank. No editorial overrides, and no provider paid for placement.

Trust Score Factors — Minneapolis Agriculture & Food Production MSP Rankings

35%
Verified Client ReviewsDrawn from Clutch (15%), Google (12%), and Cloudtango (3%) with logarithmic volume scaling, so an enterprise-focused MSP serving fewer, larger clients isn’t buried by a high-volume SMB review count. Clutch carries the most weight because it verifies reviews through phone interviews with real clients.
20%
Industry Awards & RecognitionWeighted toward Tier 1 lists — the Channel Futures MSP 501, CRN MSP 500, Inc. 5000, and Cloudtango MSP Select. Self-described “award-winning” without a named, verifiable award doesn’t count.
15%
Years in BusinessTriangulated across multiple sources, using the most conservative figure where they conflict.
10%
Physical PresenceA confirmed local office and engineer footprint in the Twin Cities metro, not a virtual address or a Minneapolis landing page with no local engineers.
10%
Food & Ag SpecializationDedicated vertical pages, named compliance frameworks (FSMA, HACCP, GFSI, SQF, CMMC for defense-adjacent food), published case studies, and named clients in agriculture or food production. Listing “food and beverage” as an industry served does not count.
10%
Service BreadthDepth of documented service offerings from helpdesk and managed cloud through 24/7 SOC, OT/IT segmentation, and compliance-as-a-service.

One market-specific note worth flagging: four of the seven providers here (Loffler, Stoneridge, RYMARK, and Mytech) carry an unclaimed Clutch profile as of June 2026. The methodology applies the same missing-Clutch penalty to each (half the Clutch weight is lost, the rest redistributed to Google and Cloudtango), so Google review data carries outsized influence in their scores. Marco, Netrio, and Corporate Technologies all have a claimed Clutch presence.

Marco Technologies managed IT services Minneapolis food manufacturing homepage

Marco is the only provider on this list with a public case study about defending a food manufacturer against a real cyberattack. That matters. Most MSPs market generic manufacturing capabilities. Marco shows the work.

Key Strengths

  • Published case study on a food manufacturer cyberattack response that played out two ways across a parent company and an acquired sister company sharing VPN infrastructure. Few MSPs document this kind of post-incident analysis in public.
  • Cloudtango MSP Select 2022 recognition, a third-party signal that survived their independent review of 223 different certifications and case studies.
  • Full breadth across managed IT, cybersecurity, voice, AV, print, and managed network services. Roughly 1,159 employees per PitchBook, enough scale to staff plant-floor work across multiple Minnesota food production sites.
  • Founded 1973 — 53 years of operation in the Upper Midwest. Stability matters when your plant runs 24/7.

Limitations

  • The Minnetonka office Google profile shows only 4 reviews. The St. Cloud HQ profile carries 143 reviews at 4.6 stars, so the local Minneapolis footprint is thinner than the company’s total reputation suggests.
  • The Clutch profile surfaces only a small number of reviews, so Marco’s verified-review strength rests mainly on its St. Cloud Google profile rather than Clutch.
  • Office technology and print revenue is a meaningful share of the business. Food manufacturers focused specifically on OT/IT convergence may find Marco’s value strongest on the IT side and lighter on plant-floor automation work.

Best For

Mid-market and enterprise food manufacturers with multiple Minnesota sites that need both modern managed IT and traditional office technology under one contract.

Not Ideal For

Boutique organic food startups wanting a 5-person high-touch MSP. Marco’s scale is a feature for larger operators and a tradeoff for very small ones.

Why They Rank #1

Marco wins on the combination of verified third-party recognition, documented work in the specific vertical, and operational depth that few regional MSPs can match. Their food manufacturing case study reads like a post-mortem written by people who had been in the room when the alert fired, not a marketing piece written after the fact. That’s the kind of work food processors want when they’re picking the partner who’ll be on call at 2am when a SCADA sensor stops reporting and the plant manager can’t tell whether it’s a hardware fault or a HACCP-compliance-threatening data integrity event.

Netrio SUCCESS Computer Consulting managed IT Minneapolis Twin Cities homepage

Numbers tell the story here. 5.0 stars across 80 Google reviews. 4.8 stars across 23 Clutch reviews. Both verified.

Key Strengths

  • The highest combined review profile of any provider on this list. Clients describe a 30+ year operating history that survived a 2024 merger with Netrio. Per one Clutch review, a Minneapolis client spent $500,000 over multiple years and described migration timelines being met to the day.
  • Founded 1992. Long enough that ag and food clients who started with them in the late ’90s are still on board.
  • Service stack includes managed IT, MSSP services, NOCaaS, custom application development, and cloud migration. That breadth matters for ag co-ops running both back-office Microsoft 365 and field-data systems.

Limitations

  • The 2024 Netrio merger and 2025 Agio acquisition shifted the brand toward national scale. Some Twin Cities buyers prefer the pre-merger local identity. That’s a preference call, not a flaw.
  • No dedicated agriculture or food production vertical page exists on the current Netrio site. The vertical expertise lives in client history, not in published case studies.

Best For

Twin Cities mid-market food processors and ag businesses that want documented review credibility and a long operational track record.

Not Ideal For

Organizations actively seeking a provider with explicit, marketed agriculture or food vertical depth. Netrio has the clients; the marketing doesn’t show it.

Why They Rank #2

Review credibility is the largest single factor in the Trust Score, and Netrio dominates it. Combine that with 34 years of continuous Twin Cities operation, and you have a provider buyers can vet through public, verified channels rather than taking sales pitches at face value. The Agio acquisition signals continued investment in highly regulated verticals, which bodes well for food and ag clients facing FSMA and Minnesota Department of Agriculture inspection cycles.

Corporate Technologies managed IT services Eden Prairie Minneapolis homepage

293 Google reviews at 4.7 stars. That’s the largest verified review volume in this comparison by a meaningful margin.

Key Strengths

  • 4.7-star Google rating across 293 reviews. Volume at that level tracks operational consistency, not luck.
  • 200+ engineers spread across 21 locations in 18 states, with Eden Prairie as the HQ. A Minneapolis food producer with sister facilities in Iowa, North Dakota, or Wisconsin can run one contract across all of them.
  • Compliance-as-a-Service (CaaS) goes beyond ticket support into ongoing regulatory alignment. For facilities navigating FDA registration, FSMA preventive controls, and HARPC food safety plans, the CaaS framing maps to real buyer need.
  • Founded 1981 — 45 years in continuous operation, with a 2025 ownership transition to Tonka Bay Equity Partners signaling capital backing for continued growth.

Limitations

  • No dedicated agriculture or food production vertical page despite Minneapolis content explicitly addressing the MN food market. The capability is there; the published evidence is thinner than the actual work suggests.
  • 12 Clutch reviews is solid but not dominant. Clutch volume below 20 for a 45-year-old company indicates lighter engagement with verified-review platforms than direct word-of-mouth marketing.

Best For

Multi-site food and ag operators in Minnesota who need on-site reach across the Upper Midwest and want compliance program management beyond reactive helpdesk support.

Not Ideal For

Single-location specialty food brands prioritizing a small, high-touch local team. Corporate Technologies’ value compounds with scale and complexity.

Why They Rank #3

Review volume at this scale is rare in the regional MSP market, and the Compliance-as-a-Service offering matters for the specific regulatory environment Minnesota food processors live in. They lose vertical specialization points because the food and ag work isn’t documented publicly, but the underlying capability is real.

Loffler Companies business technology services Minneapolis Minnesota homepage

Loffler is what every food and ag CFO in Minnesota has heard of by reputation. Whether they should be on your shortlist depends on what you actually need.

Key Strengths

  • Largest privately owned business technology and services company in the Upper Midwest. Founded 1986 — 40 years of operation.
  • 74 Google reviews at 4.3 stars across the St. Louis Park HQ. Steady, not spectacular, which is what you’d expect from a company with thousands of clients.
  • Six-state office footprint with the headquarters squarely in the Minneapolis metro. On-site reach across rural Minnesota for ag operations.

Limitations

  • No documented agriculture or food production vertical practice. Loffler’s marketing is generalist by design. They’re the broad incumbent, not the specialist.
  • Clutch profile exists but with no public rating or review count. For a company of Loffler’s size, the absence of a verified review signal is notable.
  • Office technology, print, and copier services are a meaningful revenue line. Food processors with primarily software and OT/IT needs may find a more focused IT-only specialist a better fit.

Best For

Established Minnesota food and ag businesses that already have a Loffler print or office tech relationship and want to consolidate IT under the same vendor.

Not Ideal For

Food processors actively seeking a partner with documented vertical specialization and a strong Clutch-verified review profile.

Why They Rank #4

Loffler has scale, longevity, and Minnesota incumbency. What they don’t have is the documented vertical depth or verified review signals that the top three providers carry. For buyers who weight existing relationships and broad regional reach above category specialization, that calculation reverses. For buyers picking from a clean slate, three providers above them score higher.

Stoneridge Software Dynamics 365 agriculture food manufacturing Minneapolis homepage

This one needs an honest explanation. Stoneridge has the deepest agriculture vertical practice of any provider in this comparison. They aren’t ranked #1.

Key Strengths

  • Explicit vertical pages for Ag Retailers, Commodity Processors, Seed Suppliers, and Food & Beverage Manufacturing. No other provider on this list publishes that depth of vertical documentation.
  • Levridge ERP, a Stoneridge-built solution on Microsoft Dynamics 365, is purpose-designed for commodity processors. Named client examples include Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative.
  • Microsoft Inner Circle for Business Applications 2025/2026, representing the top 1% of Microsoft partners globally. Stoneridge has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list nine consecutive years (2017 through 2025).
  • Other named ag clients include Merrick Pet Care, Agassiz Seed, and Steffes Group.

Limitations

  • Unclaimed Clutch profile with no public reviews or rating. The methodology applies a credibility penalty for this; half the Clutch weight is lost. Stoneridge has the work, but the verified third-party review signal isn’t there to back it up at the platform level.
  • Only 7 Google reviews at the St. Louis Park office. That’s a thin local review footprint for a company founded in 2012.
  • The business model is closer to ERP consultancy than traditional MSP. Day-to-day helpdesk, EDR, MDR, and 24/7 NOC services aren’t core. Buyers who want a full traditional MSP stack will need to layer another partner alongside Stoneridge.

Best For

Commodity processors, seed suppliers, ag retailers, and food and beverage manufacturers running Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or planning to migrate from Dynamics GP, NAV, or AX) who want vertical-specific ERP and operations expertise.

Not Ideal For

Operators looking for a single vendor to handle helpdesk, network monitoring, cybersecurity SOC, and ERP under one contract. Stoneridge’s model is depth in a slice, not breadth across the stack.

Why They Rank #5

The Trust Score weights public review signals at 35% of the total. Stoneridge’s unclaimed Clutch profile and thin Google review count drag the math, even though their agriculture vertical work is the deepest in this comparison. The methodology is fixed. Here’s the honest read: if you’re picking purely on agriculture and food production specialization, Stoneridge is the conversation. If you’re picking on the full Trust Score model that weights verified reviews heavily, the four providers above them have stronger public proof points. Both reads are valid. We publish the score and the reasoning so buyers can decide which signal matters more for their situation.

RYMARK IT Navigation Minneapolis IT support food manufacturing homepage

29 years in Minneapolis. 4.9-star Google rating across 47 reviews. That’s the second-highest pure rating in this comparison.

Key Strengths

  • Dedicated Manufacturing & Industrial IT page addressing SAP, NetSuite, and Dynamics ERP integration, plus ICS and IoT security. Closest to food production OT/IT needs of the SMB-focused providers in this set.
  • Founded 1997. Continuously operating from the Brooklyn Center / Minneapolis area for 29 years.
  • 4.9 Google rating across 47 reviews. Strong qualitative consistency.

Limitations

  • Unclaimed Clutch profile. No published rating or review count.
  • No Cloudtango listing surfaced in research.
  • Manufacturing-adjacent rather than food-and-ag-specific. The vertical page covers manufacturers broadly. Food and beverage processors will find the framework useful but should ask for named food-specific client references during evaluation.

Best For

Small and mid-sized food and ag operators in the Twin Cities who want hands-on local support, high response rates, and a partner who actually answers the phone.

Not Ideal For

Multi-state food operators needing on-site reach beyond the Minneapolis metro. RYMARK’s footprint is local by design.

Why They Rank #6

The Google rating is exceptional. The Clutch absence and lack of award signals drag the methodology score below where the customer-experience metrics alone would place them. Buyers who weight Google reviews heavily and aren’t concerned about Clutch verification will find RYMARK underranked here relative to their actual experience.

Mytech Partners CMMC manufacturing IT Minneapolis Twin Cities homepage

Mytech runs an explicit Manufacturing / CMMC practice. That’s useful for one specific kind of food and ag buyer: defense-adjacent food contractors.

Key Strengths

  • Dedicated Manufacturing / CMMC focus. Defense contractors processing military rations, MREs, or otherwise serving DoD supply chains need CMMC Level 2 compliance, and few regional MSPs document that capability publicly.
  • Founded 2000. 26 years operating across Minnesota, Colorado, Texas, and California.
  • Co-managed IT model that works alongside existing internal IT teams. Useful for larger food processors who have a small in-house team but need specialized augmentation.

Limitations

  • Unclaimed Clutch profile with no public reviews.
  • 4.1 Google rating across 27 reviews. Solid but not exceptional, and the lowest of the seven providers in this comparison.
  • The manufacturing vertical page does not specifically address food production, dairy, beverage, or commodity processing. Buyers will need to ask whether the CMMC framework translates to FSMA preventive controls work.

Best For

Food and beverage manufacturers with DoD or defense supply chain contracts that require CMMC Level 2 or higher certification.

Not Ideal For

Commercial-only food processors with no defense exposure. The CMMC specialization is overkill, and the rest of the offering is less differentiated than competitors above.

Why They Rank #7

The Trust Score reflects a thinner review footprint and a less-specific vertical fit for the core food and ag use case. Mytech has a real niche in defense-adjacent food contracting that other providers on this list can’t match. But for the broader agriculture and food production market, providers above them are stronger fits.

How to Choose an MSP for Agriculture & Food Production in Minneapolis

Start with three questions. Does the MSP have documented work in your specific food or ag subcategory? Are their review signals verified by a credible third party? Will they physically show up at your plant when a sensor stops reporting at 11pm? The considerations below unpack what separates a real food-and-ag partner from a generic Twin Cities MSP with a food-and-beverage bullet point.

Documented vertical work, not a bullet point. Industry fit is where most MSPs fail buyers in this category. A “we serve food and beverage” line on a generic services page is not industry fit. Real fit looks like Stoneridge’s Levridge ERP, Marco’s published food manufacturing cyberattack case study, or a named client list. Ask for the named client list during evaluation. If the MSP can’t share one even under NDA, assume they don’t have one.

Verified review signals. Clutch verifies reviews through phone interviews with real clients, which is meaningfully different from self-submitted Google star ratings. Four of the seven providers here have unclaimed Clutch profiles, so weigh Google volume and direct references accordingly. Absence of Clutch verification isn’t proof of a bad provider, but it is a credibility gap our methodology treats as one.

Size and scale, matched to yours. A 3,000-employee Cargill subsidiary and a 40-employee specialty contract manufacturer need fundamentally different partners. The Cargill-scale buyer needs bench depth, multi-site contract management, and 24/7 plant-floor reach (a Marco or Loffler). The 40-employee specialty buyer is usually better served by RYMARK or a vertical-specific play like Stoneridge for ERP.

Geography and on-site response. The office address matters less than whether the provider has engineers who live within 90 minutes of your plant. Ask directly: “If we have a Saturday-morning incident at our Mankato facility, how long until someone is physically on site?” Listen for whether the answer is specific or generic. In a state where January blizzards can shut down ground transportation for 48 hours, response time is operational, not theoretical.

Compliance posture. FDA’s FSMA preventive controls rule requires food facilities to maintain accurate monitoring records. A breach that manipulates SCADA values doesn’t just expose data — it can put you out of FSMA compliance and turn safe product into adulterated product. The providers above who demonstrably understand this are Marco (documented work), Corporate Technologies (CaaS offering), Stoneridge (vertical practice), and Mytech (CMMC translates structurally to FSMA preventive controls).

Budget signals. Most Minneapolis food and ag MSPs publish hourly rates between $100 and $200 for general support, with managed contract pricing typically $125 to $250 per user per month. Specialized work — ERP, OT/IT segmentation, CMMC remediation — runs higher and is usually project-priced.

Don’t treat cybersecurity as an add-on. In food production, cyber and HACCP are not separate disciplines anymore. They share critical control points. Ask a prospective MSP how they’d map your existing HACCP critical control points to digital critical control points (dCCPs). If they look confused, move on.

The Bottom Line

Marco Technologies takes the top spot because they combine documented food manufacturing work, verified third-party recognition (Cloudtango MSP Select 2022), and the operational scale to actually run multi-site food production IT. Netrio (formerly SUCCESS Computer Consulting) at #2 brings the strongest verified review profile in the market. Corporate Technologies at #3 brings the largest review volume by a clear margin and a Compliance-as-a-Service offering that maps to the regulatory environment Minnesota food producers actually live in.

Stoneridge Software is the conversation if you’re running Microsoft Dynamics 365 or planning to migrate, and if agriculture vertical depth matters more to you than full-stack MSP coverage. They aren’t ranked #1 because the Trust Score weights public review signals heavily and their Clutch profile is unclaimed. That’s the honest read. Buyers who weight specialization above review signals should still strongly consider them.

For SMB and single-location buyers, RYMARK IT Navigation is undervalued by the Trust Score methodology. Their 4.9 Google rating across 47 reviews is exceptional, and their 29-year local tenure means they’ll still be picking up the phone in 2030.

What Food and Ag IT Buyers in Minneapolis Want to Know

Three things, mostly. First, they treat your plant floor as part of the attack surface, not as someone else’s problem. That means OT/IT segmentation, ICS hardening, and SCADA monitoring with someone who knows what a normal pasteurization run looks like. Second, they understand that your records are your compliance. Falsified or deleted historian data can put a perfectly safe product into a recall under FSMA. Third, they help you align HACCP critical control points with digital ones, so a breach that manipulates a sensor reading triggers the same response as a manual deviation.
Some are. Most aren’t. The four providers in this list with a real claim to the vertical (Marco, Corporate Technologies, Stoneridge, and Mytech for defense-adjacent food) each show it in different ways. Marco shows it through published incident response work. Stoneridge shows it through a vertical ERP product. Corporate Technologies shows it through Compliance-as-a-Service. Mytech shows it through a CMMC framework that translates structurally to FSMA preventive controls. The other providers serve food and ag clients but don’t market the specialization.
$125 to $250 per user per month covers most full-stack managed contracts in the Twin Cities for food and ag operators. OT/IT segmentation projects run $25,000 to $150,000 depending on plant complexity. CMMC Level 2 remediation typically lands between $75,000 and $250,000 for first-time certification. Hourly rates for project work range from $125 to $225 across the providers above. Stoneridge ERP implementations are an entirely different conversation and usually six figures minimum.
Depends on what “outside” means. Marco at St. Cloud is 70 miles from downtown Minneapolis and runs a Minnetonka office — functionally local for most purposes. Stoneridge’s Fargo HQ is more distant but has a real Minneapolis office. Corporate Technologies, Loffler, RYMARK, and Mytech are all Minneapolis-area. A provider with engineers based in Eastern Europe or India and no Minnesota presence at all is a different category. For food production specifically, on-site response time matters. A six-hour response from Dallas does not solve a plant-floor emergency in January.
Yes, for the Trust Score, because it’s the most independently verified review platform in the MSP market. Clutch verifies reviews through phone interviews with real clients. That’s meaningfully different from self-submitted Google star ratings. An unclaimed Clutch profile is not necessarily a sign of a bad provider. Stoneridge has the deepest agriculture vertical practice in this market and still hasn’t claimed theirs. But absence of Clutch verification is a credibility gap, and our methodology treats it as one. If a provider matters to you despite an unclaimed Clutch profile, ask them for client references directly during evaluation.
It will. AI in food and ag is moving from pilot to production fast. Stoneridge is integrating Microsoft Copilot guidance into client implementations. Marco and Corporate Technologies are building AI threat detection into their security stacks. The MSPs who already understand OT/IT segmentation will be better positioned to deploy AI safely on the plant floor than ones learning food production for the first time alongside the AI rollout. If AI is on your roadmap, ask each provider how they’re thinking about it. Listen for specifics. Vague answers mean they don’t know yet.
