Best MSPs in Texas (2026): Statewide Provider Rankings

Kate Larsen, IT Research Analyst · Last updated: May 5, 2026 · No paid placements
Integris ranks as the top managed service provider in Texas based on the itreviews.co Trust Score (8.68/10), driven by 92+ verified Clutch reviews and offices across 10+ Texas cities. Uprite Services (#2, 8.36/10) leads in Texas-only operational focus with six consecutive Channel Futures MSP 501 listings. Aldridge (#3, 7.31/10) brings the longest tenure of any provider here at 40+ years. Rankings reflect six independently researched factors applied identically to every provider. No provider paid for placement.

Quick Picks

  • Best Overall: Integris
  • Best for Texas-Only Multi-Metro Coverage: Uprite Services
  • Best for Long-Tenured Stability: Aldridge
  • Best for Enterprise Scale + UCaaS: TPx Communications
  • Best for CMMC and Defense: IT GOAT

If you’re evaluating managed IT providers for a business operating across multiple Texas metros, the shortlist gets confusing fast. Houston has its own MSP scene. Dallas-Fort Worth has another. Austin has a third. San Antonio has a fourth. And most “best of Texas” pages you’ll find online either rank one provider’s local competitors or mash together every MSP with a Texas zip code regardless of actual statewide capability.

This list takes a different cut. We only included providers with a documented, multi-metro Texas footprint — a real office in Houston and Dallas, or Austin and San Antonio. Not satellite addresses. Real engineers, real local presence, in at least two of the four major Texas markets. That’s the threshold. Then we ran every provider through the itreviews.co Trust Score methodology — six factors, fixed weights, applied the same way to every name on the list.

Seven providers made it. Here’s where they ranked, why, and where each one falls short.

How We Ranked These MSPs

Six independently researched criteria applied the same way to every provider. No provider paid for placement. No provider submitted their own data.

A national managed services provider that treats Texas like a primary market, not a satellite. 10+ office locations across the state — Arlington, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, McKinney, Plano, San Angelo, San Antonio, and Tyler. That’s not a service-area claim; those are real offices. 92+ verified Clutch reviews including a Clutch Global Award (Fall 2025). Cloudtango MSP Select USA 2026. CMMC Level 2 readiness and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance. Documented Managed AI service line — newer than most competitors have rolled out.

Key Strengths

  • 92+ verified Clutch reviews — highest volume on this list; only provider to win a Clutch Global Award (Fall 2025)
  • 10+ Texas office locations spanning all four major metros plus Tyler, McKinney, Plano, and San Angelo
  • Cloudtango MSP Select USA 2026, plus repeated Inc. 5000 appearances under predecessor entities going back to 1993
  • CMMC Level 2 readiness and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance with a documented Managed AI service line
  • Full vertical stack: financial services, legal, professional services, nonprofits, manufacturing

Limitations

  • National MSP with PE backing (OMERS) — not a Texas-headquartered firm; buyers wanting a TX-grown company will find that on the About page
  • Higher hourly rate band ($150–$199) than several Texas-only competitors
  • Some Clutch reviews note staff turnover affecting account continuity — a known tradeoff with PE-backed MSPs that grow through acquisition

Best For

Multi-location businesses needing consistent IT support across multiple Texas metros, plus other US offices, under one MSP relationship.

Not Ideal For

Single-office SMBs in one Texas city who want a relationship with a small local team. The scale that makes Integris #1 here is overkill for a 25-person company in Austin.

Why They Rank #1

Integris ranks first because the data backs it on the heaviest-weighted factors. Most Clutch verified reviews. Most Texas physical locations. Cloudtango MSP Select 2026. The score isn’t close — they’re 0.32 points ahead of #2, which is a meaningful gap in a six-factor weighted model. Their national MSP scale is a fair criticism, but for a buyer running operations in Houston and Dallas and needing consistent service across both, that scale is the point.

Six consecutive years on the Channel Futures MSP 501 (2020–2025), most recently at #227. Three confirmed TX offices: Houston, San Antonio, and DFW. Verified review profile spans all three platforms tracked by the Trust Score — Clutch (5.0/11 reviews), Google (4.9/42 reviews), and Cloudtango. Founded 1999 (formerly 3coast Services) — 26-year operating history. SOC 2 Type II certified. Documented vertical programs: UpriteLAW for legal, HIPAA-compliant healthcare, manufacturing with CMMC support, real estate, and financial services.

Key Strengths

  • Six consecutive Channel Futures MSP 501 listings (2020–2025), most recently at #227 — six years in a row on a quantitative ranking based on revenue, EBITDA, and recurring revenue
  • Verified review profile spans all three tracked platforms: Clutch (5.0/11), Google (4.9/42), Cloudtango (listed)
  • Named vertical programs: UpriteLAW (legal), HIPAA-compliant healthcare, manufacturing with CMMC compliance, real estate, financial services
  • SOC 2 Type II certified. HIPAA documented. 26-year operating history (founded 1999 as 3coast Services)

Limitations

  • Three TX offices vs. Integris’s ten-plus — if you operate in El Paso or the Rio Grande Valley, Uprite isn’t there
  • Smaller scale ($1k–$200k annual project range per Clutch data) may not fit a 2,000-employee enterprise needing carrier-grade UCaaS
  • Strength is staying in-state — not the call for multi-state enterprises needing coverage outside Texas

Best For

Texas-headquartered SMBs and mid-market businesses (50–500 employees) operating across Houston, San Antonio, and DFW that want an MSP with a TX-specific operational focus and clear regulatory specialization.

Not Ideal For

Multi-state enterprises needing service coverage outside Texas. Uprite’s strength is staying in-state.

Why They Rank #2

A textbook Trust Score result. Strong on every factor, no major gaps. The only reason they’re not #1 is the absolute volume of Clutch reviews (11 vs. Integris’s 92) and a slightly lighter award stack at the top tier. Everything else is clean. If you want a Texas-grown MSP with documented compliance posture and an operating history, this is the answer.

Founded around 1984. Forty-plus years in Texas IT services — the longest tenure of any provider on this list, and longer than most MSPs that exist in any market. Houston-headquartered with offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, plus Seattle. 4.8 Google rating across 104 verified reviews. Documented service depth with Secure IT Outsourcing (full managed) and Co-Managed IT with three configurable support tiers (L1, L2, L3) — most MSPs don’t break out their helpdesk this transparently.

Key Strengths

  • 40+ years operating — the longest tenure on this list and longer than most MSPs that exist in any market
  • 4.8 Google rating across 104 verified reviews — strong, consistent, real volume
  • Four Texas metros confirmed with named local engineers, plus a Seattle office that doesn’t pretend to be Texas
  • Transparent three-tier helpdesk model (L1, L2, L3) — documented more clearly than most MSP peers

Limitations

  • Active Clutch profile with zero submitted reviews — for a 40-year-old MSP, that’s an unusual gap and the single biggest drag on their Trust Score
  • Lighter award stack than the top two — Channel Futures MSP 501 listed historically (#419) but no recent Tier 1 appearances
  • Industry vertical pages are thinner than peers — strong horizontal MSP, lighter on documented specialization

Best For

DFW and Houston SMBs that prioritize stability and operating history over award stacking. A buyer who wants a provider that’s seen multiple recessions, multiple tech cycles, and is still here.

Not Ideal For

Buyers using third-party review platforms (especially Clutch) as a primary credibility filter. The empty Clutch profile is a real signal, even if it mostly reflects a sales motion that never asked for reviews.

Why They Rank #3

40 years counts for a lot in this model — operational maturity is a 15%-weighted factor and Aldridge maxes it. The Google reviews are strong. The Texas footprint is real. They just don’t have the Clutch volume or the multi-year Tier 1 award stack to push them into the top two.

Austin-headquartered. 1,250 employees. 80,000 customer locations nationwide. Channel Futures MSP 501 #7 in 2025 — the single highest MSP 501 ranking of any provider on this list. Seven consecutive years on the list. 72 verified Clutch reviews — second-highest volume after Integris. Service breadth no other provider matches: managed IT, MDR, managed firewalls, SD-WAN, UCaaS, contact center, network connectivity, plus a 2025 Global Infosec Award for cybersecurity. 28 years operating (founded 1998).

Key Strengths

  • Channel Futures MSP 501 #7 globally (2025) — seven consecutive years; the single highest MSP 501 ranking on this list
  • 72 verified Clutch reviews — second-highest volume on the list after Integris; real client base, real verified feedback
  • Unmatched service breadth: managed IT, MDR, managed firewalls, SD-WAN, UCaaS, contact center, network connectivity
  • 28 years operating (founded 1998). 80,000 customer locations nationwide

Limitations

  • BBB rating of F with documented “failure to respond to complaints” — Trustpilot includes severe complaints about contract terms, billing errors, and post-cancellation charges
  • National managed services carrier model — the operating model isn’t local; Texas presence is real (HQ Austin) but not localized
  • Pattern across employee and customer reviews is consistent enough to be a signal, not an outlier

Best For

Multi-state enterprises needing integrated UCaaS, managed networks, and cybersecurity under one carrier-grade vendor. TPx delivers at scale for businesses that prioritize service breadth over local relationships.

Not Ideal For

SMBs that prioritize white-glove service or want to avoid carrier-style contract structures. The documented complaints are concentrated in this segment.

Why They Rank #4

TPx is a study in the methodology working as designed. They have the best single award (MSP 501 #7) and one of the longest operating histories. But the review-score factor is heavily weighted (35%) and the documented BBB complaints, severe Trustpilot reviews, and mixed employee sentiment pull the composite review score down enough to drop them below the top three. The methodology can’t ignore consistent negative patterns just because the awards are impressive.

DFW-headquartered. Founded 2018. Six Texas metros covered: Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. 4.9 Google rating across roughly 90 reviews. Consistent positive sentiment across Clutch, G2, BBB, and Birdeye. BBB A+ accredited. Documented CMMC 2.0 specialization with cleared environments — a genuine differentiator for Texas defense contractors and DoD subcontractors. 80-second average response time on inbound support calls — most MSPs don’t publish this metric.

Key Strengths

  • 4.9 Google rating across ~90 reviews; consistent positive sentiment across Clutch, G2, BBB, and Birdeye
  • Documented CMMC 2.0 specialization with cleared environments — few MSPs on this list document this depth for defense contractors
  • 80-second average response time SLA — verified by customer reviews; most MSPs don’t publish this metric at all
  • BBB A+ accredited; six TX metros: Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Austin, Houston, San Antonio

Limitations

  • Founded 2018 (incorporated 2018, business started locally per BBB in 2021) — about seven years of operating history; the binding constraint on the years-in-business factor
  • No Channel Futures MSP 501 listing visible. CRN Tech Elite 250 (2024) is real but Tier 1 award stack is lighter than top performers
  • Some Clutch reviews note billing/invoicing improvement areas — small operational signal, not a major flag

Best For

Texas defense contractors, DoD subcontractors, and small-to-mid manufacturers that need documented CMMC 2.0 compliance support and fast response SLAs.

Not Ideal For

Buyers who weight years in business heavily. If 20-year operating history is a hard requirement, IT GOAT doesn’t clear it.

Why They Rank #5

Strong reviews and a real CMMC specialty pull them above Centre and Meriplex despite the short operating history. The Trust Score model rewards verified review depth and specialization, and IT GOAT scores well on both. They’d rank higher with another five years of operating history and a Channel Futures MSP 501 appearance.

Houston-headquartered. Founded 2006. Offices in Houston, Richardson (DFW), Austin, and San Antonio. The most stacked award profile of any provider on this list. Channel Futures MSP 501 (3x). CRN MSP 500 Pioneer 250 (6 consecutive years). CRN Tech Elite 250 (3x). CRN Fast Growth 150 (3x). Cloudtango MSP Select USA 2026 (2x). Inc. 5000 listed. SOC 2 Type II. CMMC RPO. Active Clutch profile with zero submitted reviews — the single biggest data gap on this entire list.

Key Strengths

  • Most decorated award profile on the list: MSP 501 (3x), CRN Pioneer 250 (6 consecutive), CRN Tech Elite 250 (3x), Cloudtango MSP Select 2026 (2x), Inc. 5000
  • Four TX metros confirmed: Houston, Richardson, Austin, San Antonio plus Tulsa OK
  • Documented vertical depth: oil & gas, healthcare, legal, financial services, public sector, ER/micro-hospitals, real estate
  • SOC 2 Type II. CMMC RPO. Microsoft Solutions Partner. Real compliance documentation, not boilerplate

Limitations

  • Active Clutch profile with zero submitted reviews — for a 19-year-old MSP with this award stack, that’s a real anomaly and a 35%-weighted factor penalty
  • Founded 2006 (~19–20 years) — just under the 20+ year top-tier band on the years-in-business factor
  • Some Glassdoor employee reviews flag middle-management issues — internal signal, not customer-facing, but worth noting

Best For

Texas SMBs (50–500 employees) in regulated industries (energy, healthcare, finance) that prioritize award validation and TX-specific market knowledge over Clutch review volume.

Not Ideal For

Buyers using Clutch as a primary research platform. The empty profile means there’s no third-party verified review data to evaluate, even though the Google rating (4.8/75) is strong.

Why They Rank #6

This is the most contestable result on the list, and it’s worth saying so. By awards alone, Centre would be #1 or #2. The fall to #6 is entirely caused by the missing Clutch data on the most-weighted factor (35%). If their Clutch profile populates with verified reviews, they’d likely move up several positions in the next refresh cycle.

Houston-headquartered. $170M revenue. 700+ employees. 11 offices nationally with two in Texas. Channel Futures MSP 501 #50 (2024). CRN MSP 500 listed. SonicWall Partner of the Year 2025. Founded 2001 — 25 years operating. PE-backed (Vitruvian Partners). Full stack: SD-WAN, intelligent WAN, cloud communications, MSSP, vCISO. Glassdoor rating of 2.5/5 across 221 reviews — significantly below industry average. Documented post-acquisition service complaints across BBB, DesignRush, and trade publication reviews.

Key Strengths

  • Channel Futures MSP 501 #50 (2024) — top 50 globally on a quantitative revenue-and-growth ranking; CRN MSP 500 listed
  • $170M revenue, 700+ employees, 11 offices — real scale with PE backing (Vitruvian Partners) and named C-suite leadership
  • Service breadth includes SD-WAN, intelligent WAN, cloud communications, MSSP, vCISO — the full stack plus premium tier
  • Founded 2001 — 25 years operating with long-tenured technical leadership

Limitations

  • Documented post-acquisition service complaints across BBB, DesignRush, and trade publications: contract practices, account management gaps, service degradation after acquisitions
  • Glassdoor rating of 2.5/5 across 221 reviews — significantly below industry average; the pattern is consistent enough to be a real signal
  • Only 2 Clutch reviews despite their scale; two TX offices versus competitors with four-plus

Best For

Mid-enterprise organizations (200–2,000 employees) needing carrier-grade SD-WAN and integrated managed cybersecurity at national scale.

Not Ideal For

SMBs and mid-market businesses prioritizing service quality and account continuity. The documented patterns across multiple platforms are consistent enough that buyers should weight them heavily in due diligence.

Why They Rank #7

Meriplex demonstrates exactly what the Trust Score model is designed to surface. The award stack is real and impressive. The revenue and scale are real. But the review-score factor (35% weighted) reflects a documented pattern of service-quality issues across multiple verified platforms. A provider buying their way onto award lists doesn’t beat a provider whose customers are publicly verifying their service delivery.

How to Choose an MSP in Texas

If you operate in 3+ Texas metros: Integris or TPx Communications. Both have the operational scale to support multi-site Texas businesses. Integris if you prioritize verified review depth. TPx if you need integrated UCaaS and managed networks at carrier scale — but go in with eyes open on the BBB and Trustpilot patterns.

If you’re a Texas-only SMB or mid-market business: Uprite Services or Centre Technologies. Both are Texas-grown, both have documented vertical specialization, both are real operating businesses with real local engineers. Uprite has cleaner verified review data. Centre has the more decorated award stack.

If you’re in a regulated industry: Healthcare → Uprite (HIPAA + dental case studies) or Centre Technologies (HIPAA + healthcare service pages). Defense/DoD subcontracting → IT GOAT (CMMC 2.0 specialty, cleared environments). Financial services → Integris (FINRA, financial vertical) or Uprite. Energy/oil & gas → Centre Technologies (documented oil and gas vertical). Legal → Uprite (UpriteLAW program).

If 40-year operating history matters more than awards: Aldridge. Nobody else on this list comes close to their tenure.

Budget signals: Hourly rates across the list range $100–$199. National providers (TPx, Integris) sit in the $150–$199 band. Texas-only providers (Uprite, Centre, Aldridge, IT GOAT) sit in the $100–$149 band. Per-user managed IT in Texas runs roughly $125–$225/user/month for standard service, $150–$300 for compliance-heavy industries. Quotes substantially below those bands are a flag, not a feature.

Integris ranks first because the verified data points to it: 92+ Clutch reviews, Cloudtango MSP Select 2026, and the most extensive Texas physical footprint of any provider on this list. The methodology can’t ignore that level of independent verification on a 35%-weighted factor.

Uprite Services is the strongest pick for buyers who specifically want a Texas-only MSP with the cleanest verified data profile. Aldridge is the right call for buyers who weight 40 years of operating history above everything else. And IT GOAT is the answer for Texas defense contractors needing documented CMMC 2.0 specialization, even with the shorter operating history. Things Buyers Ask

Depends on whether you have offices outside Texas. If you do, a national MSP like Integris or TPx makes multi-state coordination easier. If you don’t, a Texas-grown MSP like Uprite or Centre will typically deliver tighter local relationships and faster on-site response without losing much on capability. The breakeven is usually around two states. One state, go local. Three or more, go national.
$125 to $225 per user per month for standard managed IT. $150 to $300 per user per month for compliance-heavy industries (HIPAA, CMMC, FINRA). Co-managed IT, where you keep an internal team and the MSP fills gaps, usually runs lower per-user. Quotes far below market are a red flag. Quotes far above are sometimes justified for highly regulated environments — and sometimes not.
Because the Trust Score weights verified reviews at 35% and Meriplex has documented service-quality issues across multiple platforms (BBB, DesignRush, Glassdoor 2.5/5). Award rankings reflect financial performance and growth metrics. Reviews reflect customer experience. The methodology weights customer experience higher. A provider with an impressive award stack can still rank lower than a smaller provider with a cleaner review profile. That’s the model working correctly.
Yes. Trust Scores are reviewed and updated on a regular research cycle. Review platform data gets re-checked at least every six months. Award lists update annually after each publication cycle (Channel Futures MSP 501 in summer, CRN MSP 500 in spring, Cloudtango MSP Select in spring). If a provider’s review volume changes meaningfully or their award status updates, their score updates. This article was last updated on May 5, 2026.
An MSP handles full IT (helpdesk, infrastructure, cloud, support). An MSSP focuses specifically on cybersecurity (24/7 SOC monitoring, threat detection, incident response). Several providers on this list (Meriplex, TPx, IT GOAT) deliver both under one contract. If you only need security and you have an internal IT team, an MSSP is the better fit. If you need both, look for a provider with documented MSSP capability inside a broader MSP relationship — Meriplex and TPx are the most explicit on this list.
