Best MSPs in Phoenix, AZ (2026)

Kate Larsen, IT Research Analyst · Last updated: May 4, 2026 · No paid placements
Total Networks ranks first among the best MSPs in Phoenix with a Trust Score of 8.8/10 — the only Arizona provider holding the GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark and a Cloudtango MSP Select 2026 honoree. Intelligent Technical Solutions (8.1/10) brings the deepest award stack of any provider on this list. Trapp Technology (7.5/10) stands out for cloud and managed-cybersecurity reach. Rankings use the itreviews.co Trust Score methodology — six independently researched factors applied identically to every provider. No provider paid for placement.

Quick Picks

  • Best Overall: Total Networks
  • Best for Mid-Market & Enterprise: Intelligent Technical Solutions (ITS)
  • Best for SMB: PK Tech
  • Best for Cloud-Heavy Workloads: Trapp Technology
  • Best Microsoft-Centric Veteran: itSynergy (28+ years)

Phoenix isn’t a quiet IT market anymore. TSMC’s Chandler fab is hiring engineers by the thousand. The East Valley aerospace corridor keeps adding suppliers. Healthcare networks in Scottsdale and the Bio-Corridor are running on regulated stacks that can’t go down. And every one of those companies needs an MSP that actually understands what’s running underneath.

This guide ranks the seven strongest managed IT providers operating in the Phoenix metro, scored on the same six factors: verified client reviews, third-party awards, years in business, physical presence, industry specialization, and service breadth. The methodology is published in full. No paid placements. No featured providers. Scores. Differentiators. Honest weaknesses.

How We Ranked These Phoenix MSPs

Every provider on this list was scored using the same six-factor framework. Review credibility, awards, longevity, local footprint, vertical depth, and service breadth — applied identically across the market.

Trust Score Factors — Phoenix MSP Rankings

Total Networks managed IT services in Phoenix homepage

Total Networks didn’t earn the #1 spot because of marketing. They earned it because the data line up everywhere a buyer would look. Verified 5.0 Clutch rating across 17 client reviews, plus a 5.0 Google rating across 323 reviews — review counts that put them ahead of every other provider on this list combined. Channel Futures MSP 501 at #88 in 2024 plus Cloudtango MSP Select USA 2026. Phoenix-based since the 1980s at 4201 N 24th Street with named president Dave Kinsey.

Key Strengths

  • The only IT services firm in Arizona to hold the GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark — an independent third-party attestation against MSP-specific security controls drawn from NIST, CIS, and ISO 27000
  • 5.0 Clutch rating across 17 verified phone-interview reviews and 5.0 Google rating across 323 reviews — the strongest combined review signal on this list
  • Channel Futures MSP 501 #88 in 2024 and Cloudtango MSP Select USA 2026
  • Real compliance scope: CMMC, ITAR, HIPAA, and SOX framework support with documented methodology — not just bullet-point claims
  • Phoenix-based since the 1980s with a permanent office at 4201 N 24th Street and named president Dave Kinsey

Limitations

  • Smaller team (11–50 employees) than national competitors — best suited for SMB to lower mid-market, not the right fit for a 5,000-seat enterprise rollout
  • Joined the Blue Alliance MSP collective in August 2024 — broadens reach, but buyers should ask how that affects local engineering ownership and primary account responsibility

Best For

Phoenix SMBs and lower mid-market companies in regulated industries — legal, manufacturing with ITAR or CMMC requirements, and financial services teams needing a documented security posture.

Not Ideal For

Large enterprises requiring a 24/7 on-prem dispatch team across multiple states. Total Networks’ strength is depth in Arizona, not national reach.

Why They Rank #1

The GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark is the cleanest, hardest-to-fake credibility signal in the MSP market. Most Phoenix providers haven’t pursued it because the audit is real work. Total Networks did, and they’re the only Arizona firm that holds it. Pair that with a perfect Clutch rating across 17 verified reviews and a 5.0 Google rating across 323 — the kind of review profile that doesn’t happen by accident — and the case closes itself.

The award stack here isn’t close to anyone else’s. CRN MSP 500 multi-year. CRN Security 100 multi-year. CRN Solution Provider 500 (#394 in 2025). Inc. 5000 (2025). Channel Futures MSP 501 multi-year. Cloudtango MSP Select 2026. Full-stack security-first MSSP with a 24/7 in-house SOC and named CEO Tom Andrulis. 4.8/5 on Google for the Phoenix office (31 reviews) at 7330 N 16th St.

Key Strengths

  • Award footprint that runs deep: CRN MSP 500, CRN Security 100, Inc. 5000 (2025), Channel Futures MSP 501, Cloudtango MSP Select 2026 — no other Phoenix MSP matches this combination
  • 24/7 in-house Security Operations Center — not outsourced, not “SOC-as-a-feature,” a real operating security team
  • Dedicated /its-phoenix page indicating the Phoenix office is more than a virtual presence; named local leadership and documented staff
  • 13-office, multi-state footprint means engineering bench depth that a single-city provider can’t replicate

Limitations

  • Las Vegas headquarters with Phoenix as one of 13 regional offices — not a Phoenix-native firm; local ownership and engineering depth differ from a Phoenix-HQ provider
  • No verified Clutch reviews on the public profile despite long tenure on industry award lists — the verified client review trail is thinner than their award stack would suggest
  • Mid-market positioning means SMBs under 20 employees aren’t the typical fit and may feel that in the pricing model

Best For

Phoenix-area mid-market organizations (20–500 employees) in regulated industries that need a security-first MSSP with national infrastructure, 24/7 SOC coverage, and the deepest provable award track record in the market.

Not Ideal For

Small businesses under 20 employees. ITS’s pricing and engagement model is built around mid-market scope and will feel oversized at smaller seat counts.

Why They Rank #2

ITS has the most decorated MSP award profile of anyone serving Phoenix. Multi-year recognition across every Tier 1 list. The reason they don’t rank #1 is structural — Phoenix is one of 13 offices, not their headquarters. For a buyer who needs 24/7 SOC coverage and a national MSSP footprint, ITS is the strongest answer in the Valley. For a buyer who wants the local team picking up the phone first thing Monday morning, Total Networks is closer.

Trapp Technology managed IT and cloud services in Phoenix homepage

A real Phoenix-native cloud and managed-services player. Ranked #15 on the 2024 Channel Futures MSP 501 list globally — a top-15 finish among 501 ranked MSPs worldwide. Also #194 in 2025 and prior recognition in 2022. Phoenix-headquartered since 2007 at 2600 N Central Ave with named CEO David Trapp. 51–200 employees. Proprietary cybersecurity offering ArmorPoint providing managed SOC, managed risk, and managed strategy. The reviews are mixed in places. The award track record isn’t.

Key Strengths

  • MSP 501 #15 globally in 2024 — a top-15 finish among the most profitable and fastest-growing MSPs in the world; also #194 in 2025 and prior 2022 recognition
  • Proprietary ArmorPoint cybersecurity offering with managed SOC, managed risk, and managed strategy — not a white-labeled third-party tool
  • Phoenix-headquartered since 2007 at 2600 N Central Ave; 51–200 employees gives them broader bench than most Phoenix-native MSPs
  • Strong cloud hosting and VoIP infrastructure with a documented data center footprint

Limitations

  • 4.6/5 Google rating across 374 reviews — strong volume but noticeable dissatisfaction at the margins; direct reference checks matter more here than for higher-scored providers
  • No verified Clutch reviews on the public profile despite long tenure on award lists
  • Glassdoor employee reviews surface concerns about workforce stability that some buyers may want to ask about during reference calls

Best For

Phoenix mid-market SMBs and growing businesses needing managed cloud, VoIP, and IT services from a provider with established infrastructure, a large local team, and proprietary security tooling.

Not Ideal For

Buyers who weigh review consistency heavily — Trapp’s awards are excellent but the public review signal is mixed enough that reference checks should be mandatory.

Why They Rank #3

Top-15 globally on the MSP 501 in 2024 is not a small thing. That’s a ranked finish among the most profitable MSPs in the world. The drag on Trapp’s score comes from a Google rating just below the top tier and the absence of verified Clutch reviews. Both are real signals. For a buyer prioritizing cloud and infrastructure depth, Trapp is a serious option — just budget time for reference calls before signing.

A Phoenix-based MSP that’s quietly built one of the more consistent multi-year award track records in the Valley. Five consecutive Channel Futures MSP 501 appearances, including #204 in 2023 and #281 in 2022. SOC 2 Type 2 attestation completed under the ControlCase Compliance Extend program. Phoenix HQ at 920 E Madison St, 24/7 operations, named CEO Vince Kent. 4.8/5 Google rating across 74 reviews. 2022 Inc. 5000 Regionals: Southwest recognition.

Key Strengths

  • Five consecutive Channel Futures MSP 501 appearances (#204 in 2023, #281 in 2022) — consistency over multiple years is a harder signal than a single strong year
  • SOC 2 Type 2 attestation under the ControlCase Compliance Extend program — puts cloudIT ahead of most Phoenix-native MSPs on operational maturity
  • 4.8/5 Google rating across 74 reviews — healthy volume for a regional MSP with a named CEO and 24/7 operations
  • 2022 Inc. 5000 Regionals: Southwest recognition — revenue growth across a three-year window

Limitations

  • Vertical specialization is less defined than the top three providers — cloudIT serves multiple industries but doesn’t lead with named compliance documentation (CMMC, HIPAA, ITAR)
  • Smaller team than ITS or Trapp; engagement model best suited for SMB to lower mid-market scope

Best For

Phoenix SMBs needing the assurance of a multi-year MSP 501 honoree with SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, and wanting managed IT bundled with cloud and VoIP rather than security-first positioning.

Not Ideal For

Healthcare, legal, or financial services firms looking for documented vertical specialization. cloudIT is a strong general MSP; vertical-specific buyers will find more depth elsewhere.

Why They Rank #4

The five-year MSP 501 record is real, and SOC 2 Type 2 puts cloudIT ahead of most Phoenix-native MSPs on operational maturity. They lose ground to the top three because their vertical specialization is broader rather than deeper, and their team size sits a step below the leaders. For a Phoenix SMB wanting proven multi-year credentials without complexity, cloudIT is a clean option.

Smaller team. Sharper focus. PK Tech doesn’t try to serve everyone, and that’s the entire point. 4.9/5 Google rating across 47 reviews (46 five-star, 1 one-star) — among the cleanest review distributions in the Valley. Founded in 2009 with named owner Jordan Hetrick. Phoenix-native, no private equity rollup. SOC 2 Type II audited annually by an independent CPA firm. Long-standing Compliancy Group partnership for HIPAA program management.

Key Strengths

  • SOC 2 Type II audited annually by an independent CPA firm — a posture most small Phoenix MSPs haven’t pursued
  • Long-standing Compliancy Group partnership for HIPAA — PK Tech is itself a Compliancy Group partner organization, not just a reseller
  • 4.9/5 Google rating across 47 reviews (46 five-star, 1 one-star) — the cleanest review distribution on this list
  • Documented compliance depth: HIPAA, FTC Safeguards Rule, PCI-DSS, and GDPR — named frameworks, not bullet-point claims
  • Phoenix-native since 2009, owner-run with no private equity rollup

Limitations

  • No major Tier 1 industry awards — no MSP 501, no CRN MSP 500, no Inc. 5000; the awards factor is the primary constraint on their score
  • Small team (2–9 employees per Clutch) means project capacity is limited compared to larger providers; complex multi-site deployments may exceed capacity

Best For

Phoenix-area healthcare practices, CPA firms, law firms, and financial services SMBs (10–200 employees) needing an MSP fluent in regulated-vertical compliance and wanting a small, owner-run partner.

Not Ideal For

Mid-market or enterprise organizations needing 24/7 SOC coverage and a large project bench. PK Tech’s strength is vertical depth, not breadth of capacity.

Industries

Why They Rank #5

The vertical specialization score here is genuine. Few Phoenix MSPs document HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, and FTC Safeguards alignment with the same depth. The reason PK Tech doesn’t rank higher is the award factor (20% of the model). For a healthcare or CPA buyer, that gap matters less than the specialization fit. The ranking understates the fit for buyers in those specific verticals.

The longest tenure on this list. Founded in 1997 by Microsoft MVP and CEO Michael Cocanower — 28+ years of Microsoft mid-market depth in Phoenix before most of the Valley’s current MSPs were in business. Microsoft Gold Mid-Market Solution Provider. 4.9/5 Google rating across 25 reviews. Phoenix Business Journal Top 10 cybersecurity firm by employee count. 35% enterprise client mix per Clutch, with documented experience servicing $1B+ organizations.

Key Strengths

  • 28+ years in Phoenix (founded 1997) by a Microsoft MVP — the longest operating tenure and the deepest Microsoft mid-market history of any provider on this list
  • Microsoft Gold Mid-Market Solution Provider with longstanding partnership as a Microsoft small/mid-market technology customization partner
  • Phoenix Business Journal Top 10 cybersecurity firm by employee count — independently verified regional recognition
  • 35% enterprise client mix per Clutch — meaningful experience servicing $1B+ organizations alongside SMB and mid-market

Limitations

  • Limited Tier 1 award recognition — no current MSP 501 or CRN MSP 500 honors confirmed; the award factor is the main drag on their score
  • Smaller public review volume than top-ranked providers (25 Google reviews)
  • Vertical specialization is broad (financial services, medical, real estate, manufacturing) without the depth of named compliance certifications a regulated buyer might expect

Best For

Phoenix-area SMBs and mid-market companies running heavily on Microsoft 365, Azure, and the broader Microsoft mid-market stack who want a long-tenured, MVP-led provider that knows the platform intimately.

Not Ideal For

Buyers prioritizing cybersecurity-first positioning or named compliance specialization. itSynergy is strong on Microsoft depth, less specialized on regulated-vertical compliance documentation.

Why They Rank #6

Tenure and Microsoft expertise are genuine strengths, and the score reflects both. The reason itSynergy doesn’t rank higher comes down to award footprint and review volume — neither at the level of the top providers. For a Microsoft-heavy buyer who weights longevity and platform mastery over award stacks, the ranking understates the fit.

Two offices: Phoenix (Ahwatukee at 9633 S 48th St) and Bend, Oregon. Microsoft Gold Partner with NIST Cybersecurity Framework alignment in service delivery. 4.9/5 Google rating across 34 reviews (32 five-star, 1 four-star, 1 one-star). Documented industry mix per Clutch: manufacturing 35%, financial services 35%, construction 30% — a clear mid-market focus with genuine client retention evidence.

Key Strengths

  • 4.9/5 Google rating across 34 reviews (32 five-star) — clean review distribution with a clear industry-mix pattern in the feedback
  • Microsoft Gold Partner with documented NIST Cybersecurity Framework alignment in service delivery
  • Clear documented client mix: manufacturing 35%, financial services 35%, construction 30% — readable vertical focus, not generic generalist claims
  • Genuine local presence at 9633 S 48th St in Ahwatukee with Phoenix-based operations

Limitations

  • Limited public Tier 1 award footprint — the awards factor is the primary drag on the score
  • Smaller review volume than competitors (34 reviews vs. 323 for Total Networks)
  • Service breadth and depth of premium offerings (vCIO, SIEM, advanced threat services) less documented publicly than top-ranked providers

Best For

Phoenix mid-market businesses in manufacturing, finance, or construction looking for a stable, locally owned IT partner with a solid review history and a focus on planning and roadmap support.

Not Ideal For

Healthcare or compliance-heavy regulated firms. GreenLoop’s documented vertical specialization doesn’t lean into regulated compliance the way PK Tech or Total Networks does.

Services

Why They Rank #7

GreenLoop is a credible local MSP with a clean review profile and solid client retention. The score reflects what’s documented publicly: a smaller award footprint and less depth in advanced security services compared to peers. For a buyer who values locally owned, mid-market stability over award visibility, the ranking understates the fit. For a buyer scanning for top-tier credentials and premium service breadth, the ranking is honest about the gap.

How to Choose an MSP in Phoenix

SMBs in regulated industries (healthcare, legal, financial services): The two cleanest fits on this list are PK Tech (under 200 employees, vertical-specific compliance documentation) and Total Networks (CMMC, ITAR, HIPAA scope, GTIA Trustmark holder). Both have documented compliance frameworks — not just bullet points on a service page.

Mid-market organizations (200–1,000 employees) needing 24/7 security operations: ITS is the strongest fit. The 13-office, multi-state footprint comes with both pros (24/7 SOC, scale, infrastructure) and trade-offs (Phoenix is a regional office, not headquarters). For organizations needing national reach with Phoenix-area engineering, that trade-off makes sense.

Cloud-heavy or infrastructure-driven workloads: Trapp Technology and cloudIT are the better technical fits. Trapp leans into proprietary cybersecurity (ArmorPoint) and has the deeper MSP 501 award track record. cloudIT pairs managed IT with cloud and VoIP and carries SOC 2 Type 2 attestation. Both warrant direct reference calls before signing.

Microsoft-centric environments: itSynergy’s 28+ years in the Microsoft mid-market space is hard to replicate. They’re not the strongest on award visibility, but the platform expertise is real and the CEO-level Microsoft MVP credential is rare.

Phoenix-specific watchouts: Maricopa County is large — confirm on-site dispatch SLAs in writing, not just “Phoenix coverage.” The aerospace and semiconductor corridor has unique compliance requirements (export controls, ITAR, CMMC) that a generalist MSP may not handle. Most Phoenix MSPs charge $125–$185 per user per month for fully managed services. Providers significantly above or below that range warrant direct questions.

Total Networks ranks #1 because the data point in the same direction across every factor: verified reviews, the GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark held by no other Arizona firm, multi-year Cloudtango MSP Select recognition, and 20+ years in the Phoenix metro. For most regulated SMBs in the Valley, the case is straightforward.

For mid-market buyers needing 24/7 SOC coverage and a national MSSP footprint, ITS is the stronger answer. For cloud-heavy workloads, Trapp’s track record and infrastructure are real differentiators despite a mixed review signal. For healthcare or CPA firms, PK Tech’s vertical specialization runs deeper than most. For neighboring markets, see our Best MSPs in Dallas and Best MSPs in Houston rankings.

Things Phoenix Buyers Ask

$125–$185 per user per month is the typical fully managed range in the Phoenix metro, with per-device pricing running $110–$160 per device. Project work like a Microsoft 365 migration usually starts around $5,000. Businesses with HIPAA or PCI mandates should budget another 15%–25% for advanced security and documentation. Phoenix rates run roughly 10%–20% lower than Los Angeles or San Francisco for comparable scope, which is one reason the local MSP market has grown alongside the metro.
Two reasons. First, the metro economy has scaled fast — TSMC’s Chandler fab, the East Valley aerospace corridor, the Bio-Corridor, and a growing financial services cluster downtown have all added MSP demand. Second, Arizona’s tax climate and operating cost structure pull MSPs in from higher-cost coastal markets. The result is a deep, competitive provider pool, which is also why a transparent scoring methodology actually helps buyers navigate it.
Sometimes. A national MSSP with a Phoenix office and 24/7 SOC coverage isn’t worse than a Phoenix-native firm — it’s different. The trade is depth-of-local versus breadth-of-national. For a 50-employee law firm, local ownership often wins. For a 500-employee mid-market company with offices in three states, the national bench wins. Ask about engineer assignment and SLA before signing.
Both are independent third-party security attestations. The GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark (formerly the CompTIA Security Trustmark) is built around an MSP-specific control set drawn from NIST, CIS, and ISO 27000. SOC 2 is a broader service-organization control framework administered by AICPA. SOC 2 Type 2 is generally seen as the stronger credential for service providers; the GTIA Trustmark is rarer and MSP-specific. Total Networks is the only Arizona firm holding the Trustmark; PK Tech and cloudIT carry SOC 2 Type 2.
Stay local, almost always. A 25-employee company doesn’t need a 24/7 SOC. They need a responsive provider who knows their network, picks up the phone, and shows up on-site when something breaks. The national MSSP scope is expensive and structurally mismatched at that size. The right move is a Phoenix-native MSP with documented vertical fit and clear SLAs in writing.
Trust Scores are reviewed at least every six months, and immediately after a major event — a provider acquisition, a new MSP 501 list publication, or a significant change in review volume. The 2026 MSP 501 results publish in mid-2026 and will trigger a refresh of award scores for every provider on this list. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent data collection cycle. Next scheduled refresh: November 2026.
