Google review figures and business addresses on this page were re-verified on August 11, 2026 using Apify’s Google Maps crawler. Founding years, vertical pages, named clients, and every capability claim were checked against each provider’s own website before publication. Where the source research behind this page did not survive that check, the correction is printed on the provider’s card rather than quietly folded in — and on this page that happened four times.
How We Ranked These MSPs
Six criteria, fixed weights, applied identically to every provider. Verified reviews carry 35%, awards 20%, years in business 15%, and three factors at 10% each covering local presence, professional services specialization, and service depth.
Review Score pulls from Clutch at 15%, Google at 12%, and Cloudtango at 3%. Clutch weighs most because its reviews come from verified phone interviews with real clients, not a form anybody can fill in. Volume runs on a logarithmic scale, so going from 0 reviews to 8 counts for far more than going from 40 to 118.
Here is where Eugene gets interesting, and where it is worth being precise about what our model does. No provider on this list has a usable Clutch record. Under the published methodology, that missing weight shifts proportionally to Google and Cloudtango. It is not deducted, and absence from a platform is never treated as a negative signal — a Clutch profile with no reviews is treated as missing data, not as a demerit. What it does change is what these scores are built from: for all seven firms below, the entire verified review record is Google. Two claims checked, one confirmed and one qualified
The source research flagged both. The attorney testimonials are real — we found them, with the exact attributions quoted above, though on Emerald’s client testimonials page rather than on the law firm page where you would expect them. The founding year checked out too: their own material states they have served Lane County since 2005. The HIPAA claim needs qualifying. Their site says “We are HIPAA certified and make it a priority to stay up to date with HIPAA regulations,” and no certifying body is named anywhere. There is a reason for that: HIPAA has no certification body, so no organisation can be certified compliant with it. What a provider can have is a documented program, trained staff, and a signed Business Associate Agreement. Ask Emerald for those specifics rather than accepting the word “certified.”Best For

A correction to the source research on this provider
The research stated that “law, finance, and architecture appear as named verticals on their site alongside optometry and nonprofits.” That list does not appear anywhere on eugenenetworks.com, which has no industries page and no who-we-serve page. What they actually name is “construction offices, clinics, nonprofits, professional firms, and food producers,” and their five published case studies cover a halfway house service, a family development centre, a credit union, a psychotherapy billing service and an electrical contractor. “Professional firms” genuinely is on that list, which is why their specialization holds up better on this page than it did on our Eugene technology ranking. The source research could not establish Ambient IT’s founding year and flagged it as the single item most likely to change this ranking, noting that a confirmed 20-plus years would lift them past Eugene Networks. We could not close it either, and we looked hard. Ambient publishes no founding year on their own site, and the third-party figures disagree with each other — our Eugene technology ranking cited 2006 from its own source research, our Eugene higher education ranking cites firmographic data indicating 2010, and a Google reviewer references being a client for more than 20 years. Three sources, three answers, none of them the company. We score what we can confirm, so the conservative figure stands and the rank is unchanged. Twenty-three years old, running its own security platform, with compliance analysts trained on frameworks no local-only shop staffs for. The catch is that Eugene is one of three markets, and the smallest.

The research described RADCOMP as offering “in-house vCISO and penetration testing capability” and called them the only firm on this list with it. Neither holds up. Their site and their industry-body profile document vCIO services — strategic technology leadership, not a virtual chief information security officer — and penetration testing appears nowhere. What they do document is continuous vulnerability scanning, risk assessments and incident-response drills, which is genuinely the deepest security bench here but is not the same deliverable. The research also listed “no professional services, legal, or accounting vertical documentation” as a limitation and scored their specialization accordingly. That is wrong — Legal and Financial are both named industry solutions on their homepage. Had that been scored correctly, RADCOMP would likely sit higher than sixth.
