Best MSPs for Manufacturing in Dallas (2026)

Kate Larsen, IT Research Analyst · Last updated: June 8, 2026 · No paid placements
GXA ranks first among Dallas manufacturing MSPs with a Trust Score of 8.8/10, earning top marks for its Virtual IT Department model, SOC 2 Type II and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, and a manufacturing IT practice that covers OT/SCADA security and CMMC compliance. Centre Technologies (8.4/10) is the strongest alternative with multiple national awards. Rankings are based on itreviews.co’s six-factor Trust Score, applied identically to all providers.

Quick Picks

  • Best Overall: GXA
  • Best for Awards and National Recognition: Centre Technologies
  • Best for SMB Manufacturers: Velocity IT
  • Best for Long-Term IT Partnership: Velo IT Group

Finding a managed IT provider for a Dallas manufacturing operation isn’t the same problem as finding IT support for a professional services firm. A factory floor is a different environment. PLCs, SCADA systems, ERP-to-MES integrations, multi-shift uptime requirements. Most general-purpose MSPs can’t handle this. They’ll tell you they can. Then they’ll send a technician who’s never seen a production network.

This guide covers the seven best MSPs for manufacturing companies in Dallas-Fort Worth, ranked by itreviews.co’s independent Trust Score methodology. No provider paid for their position. The ranking reflects verified review data, third-party industry recognition, years of operational history, physical presence, and documented depth in manufacturing IT.

If you want to understand exactly how these scores were calculated, you can read how we score every provider before deciding who to call.

How We Ranked These Providers

Six criteria. Fixed weights. Same model applied to every provider on this list. The Trust Score runs to 100 points. Reviews carry 35% (split across Clutch’s independently verified interviews, Google, and Cloudtango). Industry awards are 20%. Years in business, which in managed IT is a real signal of client retention and operational stability, add another 15%. Physical presence, industry specialization, and service breadth account for the remaining 30%.

One rule that matters for manufacturing specifically: listing “manufacturing” as a served industry without any supporting documentation doesn’t move the needle on specialization scoring. A dedicated manufacturing IT practice page, named compliance certifications (CMMC, NIST 800-171, IEC 62443), and documented OT/IT security methodology do. There’s a real difference between those two things, and the scores reflect it.

GXA has been in the Dallas market since 2004 and has built one of the region’s most documented manufacturing IT practices, covering the operational technology layer that most DFW MSPs simply don’t touch.

Key Strengths

  • Three appearances on the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies list (2014, 2019, 2020) plus the inaugural Inc. 5000 Series: Texas List in 2020
  • SOC 2 Type II attested and ISO 9001:2015 certified since January 2019, with annual third-party JAS-ANZ audits confirming these aren’t one-time credentials
  • Dedicated vCIO, vITM, and vCISO assigned to every account, plus a documented 4-day monthly on-site visit schedule. Most MSPs in DFW offer neither
  • Manufacturing-specific service overlays: OT/IT network segmentation reviewed quarterly, CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR, and SOC 2 Type II compliance tracked based on contract requirements, plus industrial vendor management for ERP, MES, and equipment OEMs
  • 4.9 Google rating across 124 reviews as of June 2026

Limitations

  • The Virtual IT Department model is a premium offering and priced accordingly. A small manufacturer with 10 employees and a simple network will likely find it more than they need
  • Richardson/DFW-based with strong North Texas coverage but less presence south of Dallas

Best For

Mid-market Dallas manufacturers (30–300 employees) running ERP integrations, multi-shift operations, or working within defense supply chain compliance requirements (CMMC, ITAR).

Not Ideal For

Budget-sensitive SMBs looking for basic helpdesk support at the lowest available price per seat.

Why They Rank #1

GXA earns the top score for one reason beyond the credentials: depth in the manufacturing IT stack specifically. The combination of OT/IT segmentation at the quarterly business review level, industrial protocol awareness in the security layer, and published compliance methodology for the frameworks Dallas manufacturers actually need (CMMC for DoD work, NIST 800-171, ITAR for export-controlled manufacturers) is unusually specific for a regional MSP. The three Inc. 5000 appearances confirm a real, growing client base. The SOC 2 and ISO certifications confirm they hold themselves to the same accountability standards they manage for clients.

Centre Technologies manufacturing managed IT services Dallas TX homepage screenshot

Centre Technologies carries more third-party industry recognition than any other provider on this list, with Cloudtango MSP Select 2025 and 2026 plus CRN MSP 500 Elite 150 status across multiple years.

Key Strengths

  • Cloudtango MSP Select 2025 and 2026 (confirmed April 2026), one of only a small number of Texas MSPs earning this recognition twice consecutively
  • CRN MSP 500 Elite 150 status in 2023 plus appearances in 2016, 2019 through 2022 — seven total CRN MSP 500 list appearances
  • CRN Tech 250 2026 recognition as of March 2026
  • Active Dallas market expansion: acquired Managed Services customers from IT First Equipment Co. in March 2026, deepening the local client base
  • Perfect 5.0 Google rating across 31 verified reviews

Limitations

  • Houston is the headquarters and operational hub. Dallas is a growth market for Centre, not their home base. Buyers who value deep local roots and on-site familiarity should factor this in
  • Manufacturing vertical is documented via client testimonials (recycling/manufacturing reference, manufacturing sector listed) but lacks a standalone manufacturing IT service page of the depth GXA offers

Best For

Dallas manufacturers that prioritize working with a nationally recognized, award-winning MSP with strong cybersecurity and cloud credentials, and who value the backing of a provider growing intentionally in DFW.

Not Ideal For

Manufacturers who need a team with deep Texas manufacturing roots and want OT/SCADA expertise as a named core service.

Why They Rank #2

Centre’s award profile is the strongest on this list by a real margin. Two consecutive Cloudtango MSP Select designations in a market where most MSPs have none carries weight. The active Dallas expansion via the IT First acquisition in March 2026 signals genuine investment in the local market rather than a checkbox office presence. The gap from #1 is meaningful: GXA’s manufacturing practice depth and OT documentation don’t have a direct match here.

Velo IT Group manufacturing managed IT services Dallas TX homepage screenshot

Velo IT Group has been headquartered in Dallas since 2006 and operates a dedicated manufacturing and distribution IT practice built around a fixed-fee model that aligns their incentives with client uptime.

Key Strengths

  • Three consecutive MSP 501 appearances (Channel Futures global ranking of the top 501 MSPs worldwide), demonstrating sustained operational performance over multiple years
  • Dedicated manufacturing and distribution IT practice page documenting shop floor connectivity, ERP integrations, and the operational reality of multi-shift environments
  • Fixed monthly fee model: their stated philosophy is that fewer client issues means they’re doing their job, not an opportunity to bill more
  • 20 years in the Dallas market, Texas and Louisiana offices, confirmed HQ at 750 N. St. Paul Street, Dallas
  • Client testimonials from manufacturers confirming multi-state IT modernization projects

Limitations

  • Clutch review count is low (2 confirmed via live scrape), which limits the independently verified review signal relative to the top-ranked providers
  • Cloudtango listing status was not confirmed in research

Best For

Dallas manufacturers and distributors (25–200 employees) who want a local IT partner with a real manufacturing practice, fixed predictable pricing, and two decades of relationship-driven service in North Texas.

Not Ideal For

Manufacturers who need confirmed OT/IT security frameworks (CMMC, NIST 800-171) and compliance-specific delivery methodology documented in advance of a contract.

Why They Rank #3

Velo’s combination of 20-year Dallas presence, multiple MSP 501 appearances, and a specific manufacturing/distribution practice page puts them above providers with thinner manufacturing documentation. The fixed-fee model is a structural differentiator that matters in manufacturing, where a production stoppage triggering extra billing creates perverse incentives. The Clutch gap is the main drag on the score.

ITECS manufacturing managed IT services Dallas TX homepage screenshot

Founded in Dallas in 2002, ITECS is one of the longest-operating MSPs in the DFW market, and it’s one of the few with a dedicated manufacturing IT page that covers OT/IT security and compliance frameworks explicitly.

Key Strengths

  • 24-year operating history in Dallas, since 2002 — longer than most of the providers on this list
  • Dedicated manufacturing IT service page covering ransomware protection for production systems, OT control system security, ERP/MES platform support, CMMC, TISAX, and IEC 62443 compliance
  • Documented manufacturing client results: Pegasus Foods IT virtualization migration, PepsiCo subsidiary integration, Pizza Hut data center management
  • 4.9 Google rating across 55 reviews; Cloudtango profile confirmed
  • Pod-based support model: consistent engineer assignments rather than rotating technicians

Limitations

  • No confirmed Tier 1 industry award (no Channel Futures MSP 501, CRN MSP 500, or Inc. 5000 appearance found in research). This limits the third-party validation signal relative to GXA, Centre, and Velo IT
  • Headquarters listed as Plano rather than Dallas proper, though they serve the full DFW market

Best For

Dallas manufacturers with compliance requirements (CMMC, TISAX, FDA) who want a long-established local MSP with specific manufacturing IT documentation and named client case studies in the sector.

Not Ideal For

Manufacturers who value Tier 1 industry award recognition as a primary vendor selection signal.

Industries

Why They Rank #4

ITECS earns its position through operational longevity and manufacturing-specific documentation that most DFW competitors don’t have. Twenty-four years in the Dallas market is a real signal, and named case studies with Pegasus Foods and PepsiCo subsidiaries give buyers something to verify. The award gap keeps the score from climbing higher, but the compliance framework coverage at this price tier is hard to match locally.

The Fulcrum Group carries a rare combination of Channel Futures MSP 501 recognition and Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) contract credentials, making them a credible choice for manufacturers that operate in or adjacent to the public sector.

Key Strengths

  • Channel Futures MSP 501 ranked #466 in 2024, up from #495 in 2023 (showing consistent improvement)
  • Active Texas DIR contract (DIR-CPO-5031) and NCTCOG contract (2025-018), positioning them for government and institutional supply chain clients
  • 4.9 Google rating across 50 reviews
  • On-site coverage across the full DFW metro: Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Richardson, Carrollton, Keller, Grapevine, Southlake

Limitations

  • Manufacturing is listed as a served industry but a dedicated manufacturing IT vertical page with OT/SCADA documentation wasn’t confirmed. Firms needing documented OT security methodology may find the specialization scoring gap meaningful
  • Service desk is M–F, 7:30am–5:30pm CST. After-hours is on-call, not fully staffed 24/7. Multi-shift manufacturing operations with weekend production schedules should verify coverage before contracting

Best For

DFW manufacturers in or near public sector supply chains (state government, education, healthcare adjacent) who need a DIR-contracted MSP with strong local coverage and MSP 501 credentials.

Not Ideal For

Manufacturers requiring 24/7/365 staffed support or documented OT/IT compliance frameworks (CMMC, IEC 62443) as a contractual deliverable.

Services

Industries

Why They Rank #5

The Fulcrum Group’s MSP 501 credentials and improving rank year-over-year confirm a well-run operation. The DIR contract is a differentiator that matters specifically for manufacturers with government or institutional customer relationships. Where they fall short relative to ITECS is manufacturing-specific documentation: listing the vertical is not the same as building a practice around it, and the scores reflect that gap.

Velocity IT holds a 5.0 Google rating across 70 reviews, making it one of the highest-rated MSPs in the DFW market by public review signal, and it operates a dedicated manufacturing IT service practice.

Key Strengths

  • 5.0 Google rating across 70 reviews as of June 2026
  • Dedicated manufacturing IT services page covering Microsoft 365 consulting, cybersecurity-focused managed IT, structured cabling, and hardware management specific to manufacturing environments
  • Manufacturing listed alongside healthcare, construction, non-profits, and churches as primary target industries
  • Confirmed Dallas HQ (LBJ Freeway corridor)

Limitations

  • No confirmed Clutch reviews, which limits independently verified client feedback. Clutch’s phone-interview review process is a meaningful credibility signal in the MSP market
  • Founding year not confirmed in research, which affects the operational longevity score
  • Manufacturing IT page covers general IT support for manufacturing; OT/SCADA documentation, compliance framework coverage (CMMC, NIST), and ERP/MES integration specifics are less documented than the top-ranked providers

Best For

Dallas SMB manufacturers (under 50 employees) prioritizing proven local reputation, competitive pricing, and straightforward IT support without the complexity of OT/IT environments or compliance requirements.

Not Ideal For

Manufacturers with defense contracts, CMMC obligations, or complex OT environments that require documented industrial security methodology.

Services

Why They Rank #6

Velocity IT’s 5.0 Google rating across 70 reviews is a real signal of customer satisfaction at the SMB tier. The dedicated manufacturing IT services page is more than most providers offer at this size. What holds the score back is the absence of independently verified Clutch reviews and the gap on compliance framework documentation. For straightforward SMB manufacturing IT without regulated workflows, the value proposition is real. For complex OT environments, it’s not the right fit.

The 20 MSP operates nationally and entered the DFW market in early 2023 through its acquisition of Dallas Network Services. It carries manufacturing client references on its website, including a testimonial from Consolidated Casting Corporation.

Key Strengths

  • Manufacturing client testimonials visible on site (Consolidated Casting Corporation, Integribees)
  • National footprint with 24/7/365 support infrastructure
  • Verified Plano, TX office presence (6600 Chase Oaks Blvd)

Limitations

  • DFW presence is via a 2023 acquisition rather than an organically built local team. Physical presence scores reflect this
  • Google rating for the local DFW listing is 3.9 across 10 reviews, the weakest on this list. This likely reflects the early-stage local operation rather than national service quality, but it’s the verified local signal
  • No confirmed Tier 1 industry awards in research
  • No dedicated manufacturing IT vertical page confirmed

Best For

Manufacturers with existing The 20 MSP relationships at other locations who want continuity in DFW, or companies comfortable with the national MSP model prioritizing standardized processes over local depth.

Not Ideal For

Dallas manufacturers selecting an MSP for the first time who want a locally rooted provider with a long DFW operational history and documented manufacturing specialization.

Services

Managed IT24/7/365 SupportNational FootprintHelpdeskCybersecurity

Industries

ManufacturingProfessional ServicesHealthcare

Why They Rank #7

The 20 MSP’s score reflects the reality of a DFW market entry that’s still early-stage. The acquisition brought a footprint, but a 3.9 Google rating on 10 reviews is a thin local signal, and the absence of a manufacturing vertical page means manufacturing buyers are relying on testimonials rather than documented methodology. Providers building national-to-local presence often close these gaps over time, and a score refresh in 12 months may tell a different story.

How to Choose an MSP for Your Dallas Manufacturing Operation

Match compliance posture to actual obligations: If you’re running a defense supply chain operation or any manufacturing process that requires CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR, or TISAX compliance, start with GXA or ITECS. Both have documented compliance frameworks and manufacturing-specific content. Don’t sign with an MSP that tells you they can handle compliance without showing you the methodology before the contract.

Right-size for your IT environment: Manufacturers with more straightforward IT environments (standard ERP, no regulated exports, no OT complexity) have more options. Velo IT Group and The Fulcrum Group both bring solid track records, strong local presence, and respectable award credentials without the premium pricing that often accompanies the deepest OT specialization.

Demand DFW-specific manufacturing references: Ask for specific manufacturing client references in the DFW area, not a general reference list. A regional MSP that has actually worked production floor IT in North Texas will have names they can share with permission. A generalist with a marketing page won’t.

Verify named OT system experience: If you have a production floor, ask the MSP directly whether they’ve worked with the specific OT systems you run — the specific PLCs, SCADA platforms, MES, and ERP integrations. “We support manufacturing” isn’t the same as “we’ve patched your PLC vendor’s network controller without taking down a production line.”

Confirm after-hours coverage in writing: Ask about after-hours response times for production environments. “On-call” and “24/7 staffed” are very different things on a Saturday night when a line goes down. Get the SLA terms into the contract before signing, not after the first incident.

GXA earns the top ranking on this list because it’s the only DFW provider that documents manufacturing IT to the OT/SCADA layer, holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 9001:2015 certifications simultaneously, and backs that with three Inc. 5000 appearances. It’s not the right choice for everyone — a 10-person shop with basic IT needs doesn’t need the Virtual IT Department model.

For national award credibility, Centre Technologies is the alternative. For two decades of Dallas roots with a manufacturing-specific practice, Velo IT Group is worth a close look. For compliance-driven manufacturers that want a long-established local name with documented framework coverage, ITECS is the other serious contender.

What Dallas Manufacturers Are Actually Asking

Most general-purpose MSPs can handle your corporate IT just fine: email, Microsoft 365, laptops, basic cybersecurity. What they can’t handle is the production floor. OT networks running PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, EtherCAT) require a completely different skill set. A generic IT technician patching the wrong system at the wrong time can stop a production line. If your IT environment is purely office-side, a general MSP is fine. If you have any floor technology that connects to your corporate network, you need someone who knows the difference.
Rough ballpark: $100 to $175 per user per month for fully managed services at a small to mid-size manufacturing operation. That number moves based on the number of endpoints, compliance requirements, after-hours coverage needs, and whether OT security monitoring is included. A manufacturer with CMMC obligations will pay toward the higher end. A basic SMB with no compliance requirements will pay toward the lower. Get scope-specific quotes from at least three providers before assuming you know the market rate.
The MSP doesn’t need to be CMMC certified themselves, but they need documented experience with CMMC compliance workflows and ideally CMMC-AB Registered Provider Organization (RPO) status. Without that, “we’ve helped clients with CMMC” is a claim you can’t verify. GXA and ITECS both have documented CMMC coverage. Ask any provider you’re evaluating to show you specific examples of CMMC assessments they’ve supported before signing.
60 to 90 days is the typical onboarding window for a full MSP transition at a mid-size manufacturer. The first 30 days are almost entirely documentation and assessment. Don’t expect to see immediate service improvements. The benefit shows up at the 90-day mark when the new provider has built the documentation baseline and can actually act proactively. GXA specifically publishes this as a three-phase Stabilize/Optimize/Innovate onboarding model.
Your IT network runs your business systems: email, ERP, file storage, corporate applications. Your OT network runs your production floor: PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, conveyors, sensors, CNC machines. They used to be air-gapped. Now they’re increasingly connected for real-time production data, and that connection creates vulnerabilities that standard IT security tools weren’t built to address. OT security requires knowledge of industrial protocols, safety-critical patching constraints, and the operational reality that you can’t reboot a PLC mid-production the way you can reboot a server.
Four things matter most. First, ask for specific manufacturing client references in DFW, not a generic reference list. Second, ask whether they’ve worked with the specific PLCs, SCADA platforms, MES, and ERP systems you run — by name. Third, get after-hours response SLAs in writing, distinguishing “on-call” from “24/7 staffed”. Fourth, ask how their team handles patching on production-critical OT systems — the answer should mention change windows, vendor coordination, and rollback plans, not just “we follow best practices.”
