Best MSPs for Healthcare in Eugene, OR (2026)

Juan Alba, IT Research Analyst · Last updated: August 10, 2026 · No paid placements
IP Services ranks first among healthcare MSPs in Eugene with a Trust Score of 7.6/10, the only local provider operating a SOC 2 Type II audited datacenter inside city limits. StepUP IT Services (6.8/10) follows on tenure and co-managed depth. Alpha IT (6.2/10) fields the largest local bench. Partnered Solutions IT (5.9/10) has the deepest documented healthcare practice and the weakest review record, which is exactly the tension this page exists to show. All six providers were scored on the itreviews.co Trust Score. No provider paid for placement.

Six MSPs serve healthcare in Eugene. Between them, they hold zero national industry awards.

Not one Channel Futures MSP 501 listing. No CRN MSP 500. No Inc. 5000, no Cloudtango MSP Select. We checked all four programs against every provider. That is unusual, and it changes how you have to evaluate managed IT here, because the shortcut most buyers reach for first is simply gone.

So this ranking leans harder on what is left. Verified client reviews, years actually operating in Lane County, whether the office is real, whether the healthcare claim is backed by documentation, and how deep the service stack goes. Every provider scored on the itreviews.co Trust Score, six criteria applied identically. For a broader view of the category, our national healthcare MSP rankings cover providers operating at scale across multiple states.

If you run a PeaceHealth-affiliated clinic, a dental group, an optometry practice, or a specialty office anywhere in Eugene or Springfield, this is the local field. Six providers, real scores, honest weaknesses. Google review figures were collected on July 24, 2026. Every healthcare capability claim on this page was re-verified against each provider’s own website before publication, and where the source research did not survive that check, the correction is printed on the provider’s card rather than quietly fixed.

How We Ranked These MSPs

Every provider scored on six weighted criteria. Verified reviews (35%), industry awards (20%), years in business (15%), physical presence (10%), industry specialization (10%), service breadth (10%). No provider submitted data. No provider paid for placement.

Review data came from Google Business Profiles collected on July 24, 2026, plus Clutch and Cloudtango checks. Ratings and volume are scored together on a logarithmic scale, so a provider serving 12 large clinics is not punished for having fewer public reviews than a shop doing walk-in laptop repair.

Physical presence required a confirmed Eugene street address with a verified Google Maps listing. Not a service-area checkbox. That single rule removed four providers who rank well in Eugene search results, including a Bend-based firm, a Minnesota dental MSP, a Florida managed security company, and a White Salmon, Washington provider claiming a Eugene office with no published street address.

Specialization is where this list gets opinionated. Listing healthcare on an industries page counts for almost nothing. A dedicated healthcare service page, named compliance frameworks, documented HIPAA or audit work, or case material referencing real clinical environments counts for a lot. The gap between those two things is enormous, and it is the gap most Eugene buyers get burned by.

One structural note before you read the scores. Four of the six have no Clutch profile at all, and the two that do carry a published review count of one and zero. Clutch verifies reviews through recorded client interviews, which takes real effort to obtain. Under the published methodology that absence is never counted against a provider. The Clutch weight shifts proportionally to Google and Cloudtango instead, so Google reviews carry more weight on this page than they would in a larger metro. What actually compresses this field is the award column. Awards carry 20%, and with no provider holding a Tier 1 recognition, every score on this page is capped from the same direction. That is why nobody here clears 8.0, and it is a fact about the market rather than a penalty we applied.

Most MSPs rent someone else’s infrastructure and hope the audit trail holds up. IP Services built a Tier 2 N+1 redundant datacenter and network operations center on the northeast edge of Eugene in 2001 and has been running an independent SOC 2 Type II audit on it every year since.

Key Strengths

  • The annual SSAE SOC 2 Type II audit covers physical security, environmental controls, backup operations, information security, data communications, and disaster recovery as separately tested control objectives. For a practice facing an OCR inquiry, that is a stack of third-party documentation your MSP hands you instead of assembling from scratch.
  • IP Services and its sister organization, the IT Process Institute, wrote The VisibleOps Handbook series, which the company reports has sold more than 450,000 copies. Not a certification anyone can buy. Published methodology that other IT organizations adopt.
  • 25 years operating from one Eugene address at 2896 Crescent Ave, under founding CEO Scott Alldridge, with the datacenter, the NOC, and the engineers all in the same 541 area code.
  • Named association partnerships with the Western Bankers Association, the New Mexico Bankers Association, and the NW Credit Union Association, plus a Washington Bankers Association Professional Services endorsement to WBA member banks. Regulated-industry work is not a marketing claim here, it is the core business.
  • 4.9 Google rating with a documented 24/7 security operations capability, which almost nobody else in this market publishes in any detail.

Limitations

  • Financial services is clearly the deeper vertical. Healthcare appears in their industry mix and case material, but four named banking and credit union relationships point somewhere else first. If you want a provider whose whole identity is medicine, this is not it.
  • 8 Google reviews is a thin public sample for a firm this size and this old. The rating is excellent. The volume tells you almost nothing about consistency across a client base.
  • No Clutch profile found, so there is no recorded client-interview evidence to read alongside the Google rating.
  • Built for organizations with real infrastructure complexity. A four-operatory dental practice will likely find the model heavier and more expensive than it needs.

What we added and what we corrected

The source research credited IP Services with three named banking and credit union association partnerships. All three confirm, and a fourth turned up that the research missed: the Washington Bankers Association’s professional services arm has endorsed IP Services to its member banks. That is an endorsement rather than a membership, and it makes the “financial services is the deeper vertical” limitation above stronger, not weaker, so it is reported on both sides of the card. The research also attributed “the VisibleOps Security Handbook” to members of the team. The accurate version is broader: IP Services and the IT Process Institute authored The VisibleOps Handbook series. Finally, the research’s data table listed a Clutch profile for IP Services. We could not find one, and the review sub-score already reflects an 8-review Google sample, so no profile is claimed here.

Best For

Mid-market healthcare organizations, multi-site clinic groups, and specialty practices that already carry audit obligations and want an IT partner whose own controls are independently tested every year.

Why They Rank #1

IP Services solves a problem that most Eugene practices do not realize they have until an auditor asks about it. When your MSP touches protected health information, your compliance posture inherits theirs, and almost no MSP in this market can produce independent evidence of its own controls. IP Services can, annually, going back over two decades. They are not the most healthcare-specialized firm on this page. They are the one whose infrastructure is verifiable.

Darrell Stepper was running the engineering team at a local IT integrator when he left to start his own firm in 2001. Twenty-five years later it is still Eugene-based and unusually good at the arrangement most growing practices actually need.

Key Strengths

  • A perfect 5.0 Google rating across 13 reviews, with clients repeatedly citing follow-through and problem prevention rather than response speed. A different signal than the usual.
  • The co-managed model is documented, not just offered. If your practice already employs one IT person, StepUP layers monitoring, after-hours coverage, and vCIO planning on top of them instead of replacing them. That is the right structure for a clinic group in the awkward middle.
  • Six service lines documented separately on their own site: total managed IT, co-managed IT, cloud solutions, backup and disaster recovery, managed cybersecurity, and vCIO consulting. That is deep for a firm this size.
  • The only provider on this page with a published Clutch review, covering network upgrades and cybersecurity for a Florence-area school district on a small budget. Regulated-data work, just under FERPA rather than HIPAA.

Limitations

  • No dedicated healthcare page. No named HIPAA framework, no BAA documentation, no clinical case material found anywhere on the site. Healthcare shows up as a served sector on third-party profiles and nothing more. That is the single biggest reason they do not rank first.
  • Public employee reviews on Indeed include multiple former staff describing management and communication problems. Technician continuity matters more in healthcare than in most verticals, because the engineer who knows how your EHR talks to your imaging system is expensive to replace. Ask directly about tenure.
  • Named client work skews toward landscaping, screen printing, manufacturing and parks and recreation. Capable and varied, but none of it clinical.

Two claims in the research we had to change

The research headlined this firm as veteran-owned. StepUP publishes no veteran-owned business certification anywhere on its site, so that designation is not claimed here. What does check out is that founder Darrell Stepper served as a US Air Force Space Operations Officer from 1988 to 1992 according to his professional profile, which is a fact about the founder rather than a procurement credential. The research also flagged a conflict over the founding year and a mismatch between the company’s published address and its Google listing. Both resolve. StepUP’s own history states that the company’s origin story goes back to 2001, when Stepper founded Stepper Consulting, Inc., which became StepUP IT Services, LLC in 2015 on the shift to a managed-services model. So the sources reporting 2001 and the sources reporting 2015 are each right about a different entity, and 25 years of continuous operation stands. On the address, their own site now publishes 228 Grimes St, matching the verified Maps listing. Only older third-party directories still show Bailey Hill Rd, so there is no live discrepancy to warn you about.

Best For

Eugene and Springfield practices that already have internal IT staff and need genuine augmentation rather than full outsourcing.

Not Ideal For

Practices that want a provider leading their HIPAA compliance program from day one with documented frameworks.

Why They Rank #2

Tenure and service depth carry StepUP here. Twenty-five years in one market without a single Tier 1 award still says something, mostly that they have kept clients without needing to advertise. The healthcare gap is real and it costs them the top spot, but for a practice that mainly needs a competent, durable local partner with room to grow into, the fit is strong.

Alpha IT homepage, Eugene Oregon healthcare managed IT provider ranked #3 on itreviews.co's 2026 list with a Trust Score of 6.2/10

Ravi Brounstein started Alpha IT in 2007 doing on-site work door to door through the 2008 downturn. It is now 21 to 50 people on River Road, which makes it the deepest staffed independent MSP in Eugene.

Key Strengths

  • Headcount actually matters for clinics. When your practice management server dies on a Friday afternoon during a full schedule, a 40-person firm has someone available. A 6-person firm might not.
  • The Technology Success Program builds structured quarterly business reviews into the contract, alongside a documented environment audit and a costed technology roadmap. We confirmed all three directly. Most Eugene MSPs sell reactive support with a monitoring agent attached and call it managed.
  • 43 Google reviews is the second-largest public sample in this market, which means the 4.6 rating reflects a real spread of client experience rather than a handful of enthusiastic accounts.
  • Service catalog extends well past the core stack into colocation, infrastructure as a service, hardware as a service, cloud desktop continuity, and end-user training.
  • A compliance services page covering HIPAA, FINRA and GDPR exists and is indexed for Eugene.

Limitations

  • 4.6 is the lowest rating among the top three, and with 43 reviews that number is statistically meaningful in a way that an 8-review sample is not. Read the negative ones before you sign.
  • Their own site names engineering, manufacturing, and professional services as the industry focus, in that order. Healthcare is present but clearly secondary, and the compliance page is thinner than what Partnered Solutions IT or The Nerd Stuff publish.
  • No Clutch profile, no Cloudtango listing, no third-party recognition of any kind. For a firm this size, that absence is more noticeable than it is for the small shops.

Best For

Multi-location clinic groups and larger practices that need guaranteed technician availability and a formal quarterly planning rhythm.

Not Ideal For

Practices whose primary requirement is deep, documented HIPAA program ownership.

Why They Rank #3

Alpha IT is the safest capacity bet in Eugene and the score reflects that. Physical presence and service breadth both score near the top of the field. What holds them at 6.2 is a rating that trails the market and a healthcare practice that reads as an add-on rather than a focus. If your risk is downtime and staffing, they are a strong call. If your risk is an OCR audit, look higher up this list.

A family-owned shop on Blair Boulevard that publishes separate Oregon healthcare and dental IT pages plus a Eugene HIPAA compliance page, a 30-day happiness clause, and no long-term contract requirement.

Key Strengths

  • They publish more healthcare surface area than the research credited them with: a healthcare IT page, a separate dental IT page, and a Eugene-specific HIPAA compliance service page. The healthcare page addresses real clinical operating problems, naming HIPAA-compliant security with encryption and regular security assessments, downtime prevention, VoIP across multiple care locations, and telemedicine. It is written for practice managers, not procurement departments.
  • 42 Google reviews at 4.7, the third-largest public sample here, with client testimonials from named local law and professional firms.
  • The 30-day guarantee cuts both ways by design, and they publish it in plain language: if you are not satisfied, they get 30 days to make it right, and if they still do not nail it, you have 30 days to walk. For a small practice that has been trapped in a bad contract before, that structure removes most of the switching risk.
  • No long-term contract requirement at all, which is rare in this market and unusual for an MSP with a real managed stack behind it.

Limitations

  • Established 2018 per Clutch, making them by far the youngest firm on this list. Reviewers reference a Springfield predecessor operating as Practical Computers, so the operators have longer history than the entity does, but the company itself is 8 years old.
  • No compliance certifications documented anywhere. No SOC 2, no named HIPAA framework, no audit evidence, no BAA language on the healthcare page. The pages describe services well and prove nothing.
  • Their Clutch profile exists but carries no published reviews, so the strong Google record has no interview-verified counterpart.
  • At least one public review describes work being started, then calls and emails going unanswered, followed by an invoice. One review among 42 is not a pattern. It is still worth raising in a reference call.

Best For

Dental practices, optometry offices, and solo or two-provider medical practices that want a local team, a healthcare-aware service model, and no contract lock-in.

Not Ideal For

Any practice with an active compliance program that requires vendor audit documentation.

Why They Rank #4

Youth is doing all the damage here. Strip out the 15% tenure factor and The Nerd Stuff would sit third. Their healthcare documentation beats every firm above them except Partnered Solutions IT, and the review record is solid. Give them another five years of operating history and this ranking probably looks different.

Partnered Solutions IT homepage, Eugene Oregon healthcare managed IT provider ranked #5 on itreviews.co's 2026 list with a Trust Score of 5.9/10

Robert Steck founded Partnered Solutions in 2011 and pointed it at medical offices. HIPAA Compliance is a top-level item in their site navigation. This is the clearest illustration on the page of what a transparent scoring model does when the data disagrees with the narrative.

Key Strengths

  • The only provider in this market whose medical practices page names EHR system integration, medical imaging management, and interoperability between clinical applications as specific capabilities rather than industry-page filler. They also describe running regular HIPAA audits and assessments for medical offices.
  • HIPAA Compliance sits in the top-level navigation of the site, not three clicks down under a services menu. That is a positioning choice no other Eugene provider has made.
  • The boots-on-the-ground positioning is backed by geography. Downtown Eugene at 58 W 11th Ave, which puts them minutes from most of the clinic corridor rather than across the metro.
  • Manufacturing is a genuine second documented vertical with its own cybersecurity framing, which supports the specialization score independently of the healthcare work.

Limitations

  • 4.4 across 8 Google reviews. That is the weakest review signal on this entire list, and reviews carry 35% of the Trust Score. No Clutch profile, no Cloudtango presence, nothing to offset it. This single factor is what drops them from a likely top-two finish to fifth.
  • The clinical content is real but general. It names the right systems without describing implementation, standards, or clinical workflow in any depth, so treat it as evidence of focus rather than evidence of scale.
  • Third-party directory listings describe a service mix spanning website design, email hosting, SEO, and online marketing campaigns alongside managed IT. Nothing wrong with that, but it dilutes the picture of where engineering capacity actually sits.
  • They operate as a division of Phoenix Business Solutions, LLC, which is stated in their own site footer and is worth understanding before you sign, since your contracting entity may not be the brand on the website.

How we tested the highest specialization score on this page

Because 8.0 is the top healthcare-specialization mark here and it carries the entire argument of this section, we verified it directly rather than taking the research on trust. It mostly held, and one part of it did not. The homepage does not lead with healthcare the way the research described; it leads with general managed IT and names healthcare as a specialization alongside manufacturing. The substantive claims survive, but only on the dedicated medical practices page rather than the homepage: EHR integration, medical imaging management, interoperability between healthcare applications, and regular HIPAA audits and assessments all appear there. PCI compliance work does not appear anywhere on the site and has been dropped. The “largest provider of IT services to the medical industry in Lane County” line is theirs, published through a chamber of commerce listing, with no independent confirmation, so it is reported as a self-description and nothing more. Sub-score unchanged.

Best For

Eugene medical and dental practices that want an MSP whose entire go-to-market is built around HIPAA and who are prepared to do their own reference-checking on service quality.

Not Ideal For

Buyers who weight independent public review evidence heavily, or practices needing a large technical bench.

Why They Rank #5

This is the honest tension in the whole ranking, so we will state it plainly. Partnered Solutions IT scores 8 out of 10 on healthcare specialization, the highest on this page by a clear margin. They also score 5.3 on reviews, the lowest. Our model weights verified client evidence at 35% and specialization at 10%, and it applies those weights the same way on every list we publish. Overriding that because their healthcare story is the most compelling would make every other score on this site meaningless. Shortlist them anyway if HIPAA depth is your priority. Just ask for three current clinical references and call all three.

Eugene Networks homepage, Eugene Oregon healthcare managed IT provider ranked #6 on itreviews.co's 2026 list with a Trust Score of 5.7/10

118 Google reviews. A perfect 5.0. That is nearly triple the public review volume of anyone else in Lane County, and it is the reason a firm with almost no healthcare documentation still earned a spot.

Key Strengths

  • The review record is genuinely exceptional. 118 reviews at 5.0 across 11 years is not something you fake or buy quietly in a market this size, and the review text consistently describes resolution in minutes rather than days. Their own homepage carries the 5.0 badge in the hero.
  • The dedicated engineer model means the same person learns your environment instead of routing you through a ticket queue. For a practice where the front desk needs the scheduler working before 8am, that structure matters.
  • Flat monthly rate, no long-term contract, cancel anytime, published plainly on the site rather than buried in a proposal. Their hero says it outright: no contracts, they earn your business every month.
  • Local since 2015, serving Eugene, Springfield, and the rest of Lane County, with a real downtown-adjacent office on East 18th.

Limitations

  • Healthcare is one entry in a short list of five industries alongside construction, nonprofits, professional firms, and food production. No HIPAA page, no compliance framework, no BAA language, no clinical case material. Specialization scores 3 out of 10 and that is being generous.
  • The documented stack covers the core well and stops there. Support hours, monitoring, onsite visits, backups, network management and replacement planning. No vCIO offering, no SIEM or SOC, no compliance-as-a-service, none of the premium layers a regulated practice eventually needs.
  • 11 years of operating history against a field where two firms have 25.

A count we corrected

The source research described healthcare as one entry in a list of eleven industries, alongside architecture and optometry. Their site names five: construction, healthcare and clinics, nonprofits, professional firms, and food production. Neither architecture nor optometry appears. The underlying criticism is unchanged and arguably sharper, since a five-item list with no supporting healthcare page is thinner evidence than an eleven-item one. The 3.0 specialization sub-score stands.

Best For

Why They Rank #6

Nowhere else on this page does the review factor and the specialization factor pull so hard in opposite directions. Eugene Networks has the client evidence every other firm here wishes it had, and almost none of the healthcare proof. If your practice is small, your compliance program is already handled internally or by a consultant, and what you actually need is IT that just works, they are a real option. Ranking them sixth reflects the healthcare lens on this list, not the quality of the business.

Also Evaluated

Ambient IT scored 5.8, which would have placed fifth on raw numbers. A 5.0 rating across 24 Google reviews and a long Eugene operating history make it a credible general MSP. It is excluded from the ranked list because no healthcare-specific documentation exists anywhere on the site or in third-party profiles, and a healthcare page that ranks a provider with no healthcare evidence is not a healthcare page. Worth a look if your requirements are general managed IT rather than clinical. Its full sub-scores are published in the table below anyway, so you can see the exclusion is about evidence rather than about the number.

TRACKtown Computer Services (4.8 across 18 reviews) and SecurCore (4.5 across 8) both operate in Eugene with no healthcare documentation found.

Four providers appearing in Eugene search results were excluded on geography. Cascade IT Services runs from Bend, Sunset Technologies is a national dental MSP headquartered in Minnesota, Valeo Networks operates from Florida and California, and Radcomp Technologies is headquartered in White Salmon, Washington, roughly 250 miles away, listing its Eugene location by city only on its own website. Correction, August 11, 2026: a Eugene street address for Radcomp does appear on its Better Business Bureau profile and its Google Maps listing, so describing it as having no published street address was too strong. Whether that changes its eligibility for this ranked list is under review. Our Eugene manufacturing ranking scores Radcomp directly. All four rank locally through programmatic city pages. None passed the physical presence test.

Worth noting the market has already seen consolidation. Arctic MSP, a Eugene provider founded in 2000, was acquired by California-based Saalex Information Technology in 2020. Expect more of that.

How to Choose a Healthcare MSP in Eugene

Match the provider to your actual risk. If your exposure is an audit, weight documented compliance evidence. If it is downtime during clinic hours, weight bench depth and response record. Most Eugene practices guess wrong about which one they are.

Start with the vendor question nobody asks. Your MSP becomes a HIPAA business associate the moment it can access protected health information, and it carries direct liability under the Omnibus Rule. That is not theoretical exposure anymore. HIPAA Journal’s analysis of the OCR breach portal found that business associate involvement in reported healthcare breaches climbed from a 20% average between 2009 and 2017 to 43% in the first half of 2026. Two of the three largest healthcare breaches on record happened at business associates, not at covered entities. The vendor is now the likeliest failure point. Pick accordingly.

Let your size pick the shape. A solo or two-provider practice does not need a security operations center. It needs someone who answers, knows your practice management software, and will sign a BAA without hesitating. The Nerd Stuff and Eugene Networks both fit that shape and neither will lock you into a multi-year term. A multi-site clinic group needs bench depth, and there Alpha IT has the headcount while IP Services has the infrastructure. Ask both how many engineers are cleared to touch your environment and what happens when the primary one is out. If you already employ IT staff, co-managed is the arrangement, and StepUP IT Services documents it more clearly than anyone else here. The failure mode to watch for is an MSP that says yes to co-managed and then behaves like a replacement.

If compliance is your live problem right now, there are two paths. Partnered Solutions IT builds their practice around HIPAA and will speak your language from the first call. IP Services can hand you third-party audit documentation on their own controls, which is a different and in some ways stronger form of evidence. The right answer depends on whether you need help building a program or proof to hand an auditor.

If you are in Springfield or the outer county, confirm on-site response, not service area. Every provider on this list claims Lane County coverage. A verified Eugene street address means the drive is short. It does not guarantee a technician gets in a car.

Raise one Oregon-specific item with any provider. Oregon’s consumer breach notification statute, ORS 646A.604, sets a 45-day notification deadline and requires notifying the Oregon Attorney General when a breach affects more than 250 residents, which is tighter than HIPAA’s 60-day federal window. The statute also contains exemptions for entities that comply with HIPAA, GLBA or HITECH notification procedures, so how the two regimes interact for your specific practice is a question for your counsel and not something this page can answer for you. Ask any prospective MSP how their incident response runbook handles the shorter state clock. A blank look is informative. For broader context, 252 large healthcare breaches were reported to OCR between January and April 2026, down 9.5% from the same window in 2025. Slightly better. Still roughly two per day.

IP Services takes the top spot in Eugene because it is the only provider here that can produce independent, annually renewed evidence of its own security controls, from a datacenter it owns inside the city. For a practice that will eventually face an audit, that is the difference between assembling documentation and being handed it.

They are not right for everyone. A four-chair dental office will be better served by The Nerd Stuff, which publishes real healthcare and dental IT documentation and will not ask for a long-term commitment. A practice with an existing IT hire should look hard at StepUP IT Services. And if HIPAA depth outranks everything else on your list, Partnered Solutions IT deserves a conversation despite ranking fifth, because specialization is exactly where they are strongest and reviews are exactly where they are not.

Whichever way you go, ask for the BAA before the proposal. Evaluating providers elsewhere in Oregon? Our Portland healthcare MSP rankings apply the same six criteria.

Trust Score Breakdown

What we changed before publishing

Every row below reconciles exactly against its published total, so the scoring arithmetic is sound and the rank order stands as researched. Several claims in the underlying research did not survive verification. None of them moved a score or a position, and each is disclosed on the relevant provider’s card above. Two are worth repeating here because they affect how you read the whole page.

  • The research described a missing-platform penalty in which an absent Clutch profile “triggers a partial penalty rather than a free pass,” and blamed that penalty for compressing the field. No such rule exists. Our published methodology states that absence from a platform is never treated as a negative signal, and that the weight shifts proportionally to Google and Cloudtango. The section above now describes the rule that actually applies. What genuinely compresses this field is the award column, where a 20% weight is doing almost nothing for anyone.
  • The research’s Clutch table contradicted its own prose. The prose said four of six providers have no Clutch profile and two do. The table listed three, adding IP Services. We checked: StepUP has a profile carrying one published review, The Nerd Stuff has a profile carrying none, and we found no profile for IP Services, Alpha IT, Partnered Solutions IT or Eugene Networks. The prose was right and the table was wrong.

Each row is the weighted sum of the six sub-scores, rounded to one decimal. All seven rows were independently recomputed against the published weights and reconciled exactly to the totals shown, at 7.565, 6.825, 6.225, 6.035, 5.855, 5.700 and 5.790. No sub-score was adjusted to make a total work. Ambient IT is shown for transparency but is not ranked, because no healthcare-specific documentation could be found for it. Google review figures were collected on July 24, 2026. No provider on this page holds a Channel Futures MSP 501, CRN MSP 500, Inc. 5000 or Cloudtango MSP Select listing, which is why the Awards column is flat and why no score here reaches 8.0. Where a provider has no Clutch or Cloudtango presence, that weight redistributes to the platforms they are on rather than counting against them.

What Eugene Practice Managers Actually Ask

Less than you would think, but it should change your process. Awards like the MSP 501 and CRN MSP 500 reward scale and revenue growth, which correlates loosely with service quality and not at all with whether a firm understands your imaging workflow. What their absence removes is the easy filter. In Eugene you have to do the work yourself, which means reference calls with practices of your size, and asking to see the actual compliance documentation rather than the page describing it.
Wrong question, slightly. Your EHR vendor secures the EHR. Nobody else is securing the workstation the front desk uses to check email, the router the imaging system talks to, the backup that runs at 2am, or the former employee’s account that still authenticates. Those are the paths most small-practice incidents actually take. The EHR vendor’s BAA covers their platform and stops there.
Ask them to describe how they would handle a ransomware event during clinic hours. Specifically. Who calls whom, in what order, how patient scheduling continues, when the 45-day Oregon clock starts, and who drafts the notification. A firm that has genuinely done this walks you through it in detail and mentions things you had not considered. A firm that has not talks about backups and encryption in general terms. The difference surfaces in about 90 seconds.
Not always, but the on-site question is the one that decides it. Remote-first MSPs handle probably 85% of healthcare IT work perfectly well from anywhere. The remaining 15% is a dead switch, a failed server, a new operatory getting cabled, or a network problem nobody can diagnose over a screen share. If that happens on a Tuesday with a full schedule, a provider fifteen minutes away is worth considerably more than one two hours north. Every firm on this list has a verified Eugene address, which is exactly why the four programmatic-page providers were cut.
Smaller, not worse. What it means practically is a narrower field, less specialization than you would find in Portland or Seattle, and no national award signal to lean on. It also means the owner probably answers the phone, your account is not one of 400, and switching providers is a conversation rather than a legal process. Trade-offs, not deficits.
