Florida is the fourth-largest economy in the United States. With a gross state product approaching $1.7 trillion and industries spanning healthcare, defense, financial services, tourism, and manufacturing, the state’s businesses depend on technology that works. And when it breaks, the consequences are real.

Finding the right managed service provider in a state this size isn’t simple. There are hundreds of MSPs operating across Florida’s major metros, from Miami to Tampa to Orlando to Jacksonville to Pensacola. Generic directories list them all without distinguishing who’s credible and who bought their placement. Most “top 10” listicles ranking Florida MSPs are written by the MSPs themselves.

Every provider below was independently researched and scored using the itreviews.co Trust Score methodology. Six criteria, fixed weightings, published for anyone to read. No provider paid for their position. No provider submitted their own data. The rankings reflect the scores.

How We Ranked These Providers

Trust Score Factors — Florida MSP Rankings

35%
Review ScoreClutch (verified phone interviews), Google, and Cloudtango. Rating and volume both count, on a logarithmic scale so a provider with 8 solid reviews isn’t crushed by one with 200 mediocre ones.
20%
Industry Awards & RecognitionTier 1 lists: Channel Futures MSP 501, CRN MSP 500, Inc. 5000. Self-described “award-winning” without a named, verifiable award doesn’t count.
15%
Years in Business & Operational MaturityLongevity treated as a stability signal. Building and retaining an MSP client base takes years.
10%
Physical PresenceConfirms that a provider actually operates where they claim. A virtual office listing isn’t the same as a local team with boots on the ground.
10%
Industry SpecializationDocumented vertical expertise, not just a bullet on a homepage. Dedicated pages, named certifications, real case studies.
10%

A Pensacola-headquartered MSP with statewide reach that pairs one of the strongest public review profiles in Florida with a top-115 global ranking on the Channel Futures MSP 501. 164 Google reviews at a 4.9 rating — not a marketing team asking happy clients to leave stars, but a decade of consistent delivery across hundreds of engagements. Ranked #115 globally on the 2025 Channel Futures MSP 501. Physical offices in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, with operations extending across Florida and into Texas. Named CEO Tim Shoop. Comprehensive managed IT stack covering cybersecurity, cloud, backup, and consulting, all documented on their site with operational depth.

Key Strengths

  • 164 Google reviews at 4.9 — the strongest public review profile of any provider on this list by a wide margin
  • Channel Futures MSP 501 #115 globally (2025) — the industry’s most respected annual benchmark for managed service providers
  • Physical offices in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach; operations statewide and into Texas
  • Named CEO Tim Shoop; comprehensive documented stack covering cybersecurity, cloud, backup, and consulting

Limitations

  • No documented vertical specializations — healthcare needing HIPAA or defense needing CMMC should look at other providers on this list
  • Northwest Florida is their home base; Miami or Palm Beach businesses may want a provider with a closer physical footprint
  • No Clutch profile — buyers relying on Clutch’s verified interview process won’t find Digital Boardwalk there

Best For

SMBs anywhere in Florida that want a proven, award-recognized MSP with strong client satisfaction signals and statewide coverage.

Not Ideal For

Heavily regulated organizations needing documented HIPAA, CMMC, or FINRA compliance expertise from their IT provider.

Why They Rank #1

The Trust Score model weights public reviews at 35%, and Digital Boardwalk’s review profile is in a different league from every other provider on this list. 164 Google reviews at 4.9 combined with a globally ranked MSP 501 placement makes the math clear. This isn’t the flashiest provider. It’s the most consistently validated one.

A woman-owned MSP based in Palm Beach County recognized on CRN’s MSP 500 Security 100 list six times since 2020 — in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025, and 2026. No other Florida MSP on this list has that kind of sustained national security recognition. Founded in 2004 by Deana and Jason Pizzo, who still lead the company. Twenty-two years serving South Florida businesses. Documented healthcare and construction industry experience with compliance-aware services for HIPAA-regulated environments.

Key Strengths

  • CRN MSP 500 Security 100 six times: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025, 2026 — sustained national security recognition that’s difficult to manufacture
  • Founded 2004; 22 years serving South Florida businesses with Deana and Jason Pizzo still leading the company
  • Woman-owned MSP with documented healthcare and construction industry experience
  • Compliance-aware services for HIPAA-regulated environments

Limitations

  • Only 9 Google reviews — perfect 5.0 rating, but the volume is thin for buyers doing independent research
  • Clutch profile exists but has zero verified reviews; strongest validation is through CRN, not public review platforms
  • Focused on Palm Beach County and surrounding areas — statewide coverage isn’t their model

Best For

Security-conscious SMBs in South Florida, particularly in healthcare, construction, and industries where compliance posture matters.

Not Ideal For

Businesses outside the Palm Beach/Broward corridor needing frequent on-site support, or buyers who rely heavily on public review volume for due diligence.

Why They Rank #2

Six CRN Security 100 appearances across six years is the strongest sustained award signal in this group. The review volume gap is what separates them from the top spot. If their public review presence catches up to the award profile, this provider has a clear path to #1.

Ridge IT Cyber protects 500,000+ users across 130 countries from its Tampa headquarters. Three consecutive Inc. 5000 recognitions plus a CRN MSP 500 listing. Founder Chad Koslow named EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 Florida finalist. On paper, this is the most decorated provider on the list. Deep CMMC compliance expertise with documented zero trust architecture implementations across government and defense clients. Premium capabilities: identity management (Okta, Zscaler), SIEM/SOC operations, and penetration testing. Founded 2014 — twelve years operating.

Key Strengths

  • Three consecutive Inc. 5000 recognitions; CRN MSP 500 Security 100 (2025); founder named EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 Florida finalist
  • Deep CMMC compliance expertise with documented zero trust architecture implementations
  • Serves government agencies, defense contractors, retail, legal, insurance, hospitality, and SaaS — dedicated compliance and vertical pages
  • Premium capabilities: Okta/Zscaler identity management, SIEM/SOC operations, penetration testing
  • 500,000+ users protected across 130 countries from Tampa HQ

Limitations

  • One Google review — government and enterprise client base doesn’t leave public reviews the way SMB clients do, but the Trust Score measures what’s publicly verifiable
  • Zero Clutch reviews despite this award profile — the gap between awards and public review presence is striking
  • Founded 2014; twelve years is solid but younger than most providers on this list

Best For

Government agencies, defense contractors pursuing CMMC certification, and mid-market organizations needing enterprise-grade cybersecurity from a Tampa-based team with global reach.

Not Ideal For

Small businesses looking for a general-purpose helpdesk-first MSP. Ridge IT’s DNA is security and compliance, not break-fix support.

Why They Rank #3

This is where the Trust Score model creates honest tension. Ridge IT’s award profile is arguably the strongest in this group. But the model weights reviews at 35%, and a single Google review can’t carry that factor. If Ridge IT invested in its public review presence, the math shifts dramatically. For defense and government buyers, the rank understates the fit.

Acordis has been building technology environments for South Florida businesses since 2008, serving 2,000+ clients across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Their service list is the widest on this page. Managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, VoIP, data center and virtualization, digital signage, managed print, disaster recovery, backup, and Microsoft 365 — all documented on their site. South Florida Business Journal Fast 50 and Inc. Magazine recognition for growth. Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, HPE, Xerox, and Samsung certified partnerships. The only provider on this list with verified Clutch reviews (4.8 rating, 2 reviews).

Key Strengths

  • Broadest documented service stack of any provider here: managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, VoIP, data center, digital signage, managed print, DR, backup, Microsoft 365
  • 2,000+ clients; SFBJ Fast 50 and Inc. Magazine recognition for growth
  • Enterprise-grade vendor partnerships: Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, HPE, Xerox, Samsung
  • The only provider on this list with verified Clutch reviews — went through the verification process

Limitations

  • Google rating of 4.6 across 15 reviews is the lowest Google score in this group — not bad, but trails the pack
  • No Tier 1 MSP-specific awards (MSP 501, CRN MSP 500); SFBJ and Inc. are business growth awards, not managed services benchmarks
  • Industry specialization listed on Clutch profile but not deeply documented with dedicated vertical pages on their own site

Best For

Multi-location South Florida businesses that need one provider for IT, print, VoIP, signage, and cloud under a single contract.

Not Ideal For

Organizations where cybersecurity specialization outweighs breadth. Providers ranked higher have deeper security credentials and MSP-specific awards.

Why They Rank #4

Acordis trades depth for breadth. Their service range is unmatched on this list, and their South Florida footprint is strong. The score gap comes from the awards factor and a slightly lower Google rating. For buyers who value a one-stop technology partner over a security-first specialist, Acordis delivers.

Chriss and Keith started OrlanTech in a spare bedroom in 1995. Thirty-one years later, they’re still operating out of Maitland, still serving Central Florida SMBs, and still holding a perfect 5.0 Google rating. Client testimonials reference 5, 8, even 25-year relationships. Full managed IT stack with fixed-fee TotalCare plans: helpdesk, cloud, cybersecurity, VoIP, compliance (PCI/HIPAA), BDR, and infrastructure support, all documented. Every single Google review across 25 total is five stars — the longest-operating MSP on this list by a wide margin.

Key Strengths

  • 31 years in business — the longest-operating MSP on this list; client testimonials reference 5, 8, even 25-year relationships
  • Perfect 5.0 Google rating across 25 reviews — every single review is five stars
  • Full managed IT stack with fixed-fee TotalCare plans covering helpdesk, cloud, cybersecurity, VoIP, PCI/HIPAA compliance, BDR
  • Founder-led, no PE rollup, stable ownership structure

Limitations

  • No confirmed industry awards — no MSP 501, CRN 500, Inc. 5000; longevity is real but third-party recognition is absent
  • Central Florida only — hyper-local expertise in Orlando/Maitland, not statewide coverage
  • Industry specialization documentation is thin — PCI and HIPAA mentioned but no dedicated vertical pages or named case studies

Best For

Small and mid-sized businesses in the Orlando metro that want a long-tenured, relationship-driven MSP with fixed-fee pricing and 31 years of community presence.

Not Ideal For

Businesses needing statewide or multi-state coverage, or organizations requiring documented compliance specialization for regulated industries.

Why They Rank #5

OrlanTech’s longevity score is the highest on this list. Thirty-one years is a genuine differentiator. But the Trust Score model spreads weight across six factors, and the absence of any confirmed industry awards pulls the total down. For Central Florida buyers who value stability and personal relationships over national recognition, OrlanTech is a strong fit.

How to Choose a Managed Service Provider in Florida

Start with geography, then narrow by specialization. Florida is too large for a one-size-fits-all recommendation. If you’re in South Florida and need compliance expertise: I.T. Solutions of South Florida (deeper security credentials) or Acordis (broader service range) are your starting points. Tampa with government or defense needs: Ridge IT Cyber. Central Florida wanting hyper-local longevity: OrlanTech’s 31-year track record. Geography flexible and want the strongest combination of public validation and industry recognition: Digital Boardwalk.

Match your compliance reality to the provider. If you’re in healthcare, legal, financial services, or defense, ask to see dedicated compliance pages on their site — not just a mention in a bullet list. Real specialization looks like named certifications, documented frameworks, and client references in your vertical. HIPAA → I.T. Solutions or OrlanTech. CMMC/defense → Ridge IT Cyber. General compliance → Digital Boardwalk or Acordis.

Consider pricing structure before comparing numbers. Flat-fee models (OrlanTech’s TotalCare, Acordis’s managed services) give cost predictability for SMBs. Project-based or compliance-focused engagements (Ridge IT) often price differently. The general range for managed IT in Florida is $100–$250 per user per month; Miami and Tampa tend toward the higher end, smaller metros like Pensacola or Orlando come in lower. The gap between helpdesk-only and full-stack with cybersecurity can be 2x or more.

Verify the reviews yourself — all three platforms. A provider’s Clutch profile tells you about curated clients. Their Google reviews tell you about everyone. And a provider’s absence from Clutch (like Digital Boardwalk) or a thin Google count (like I.T. Solutions and Ridge IT) is meaningful context, not a disqualifier. The best due diligence combines public reviews, award verification, and a direct reference call.

Digital Boardwalk earns the top spot in Florida for 2026 with the strongest combination of verified client reviews and national industry recognition. I.T. Solutions of South Florida is the choice for security-focused buyers in Palm Beach County, and Ridge IT Cyber is the pick for government and defense work out of Tampa.

But rankings are a starting point. The right MSP depends on where you are, what industry you’re in, how complex your compliance requirements are, and whether you need a local partner or a statewide one. Every provider on this list was scored on the same criteria. No provider paid for their position.

What Florida Businesses Ask Before Choosing an MSP

$100 to $250 per user per month for most SMBs. That range shifts based on the service tier, the number of endpoints, and whether compliance management is included. Miami and Tampa tend to price at the higher end. Smaller metros like Pensacola or Orlando come in lower. The gap between a helpdesk-only plan and a full-stack managed IT contract with cybersecurity can be 2x or more. Ask for an itemized breakdown before comparing monthly numbers across providers.
An MSP manages your IT infrastructure — helpdesk, monitoring, patching, cloud, backup. An MSSP (managed security service provider) focuses specifically on cybersecurity operations: SOC monitoring, threat detection, incident response, compliance management. Some providers on this list, like Ridge IT Cyber, operate as both. Others, like OrlanTech, are MSPs first with cybersecurity as a component of the stack. The distinction matters if security is your primary buying criterion.
Depends on your hardware situation. If you have on-site servers, networking equipment, or conference room technology that occasionally needs hands-on attention, a local MSP with named engineers in your market makes a real difference. If your entire environment is cloud-based and your team is remote, geography matters less. Most Florida MSPs offer remote support regardless, but on-site response times vary by distance. Florida’s hurricane season also makes local DR planning — with an MSP who understands your market — more relevant than in most states.
Three things. First, ask for their response time SLA in writing, not a verbal promise. Second, ask whether they publish their methodology, criteria, or service standards publicly — providers transparent about how they operate tend to deliver more consistently. Third, check public reviews on platforms they don’t control, like Google. A provider’s Clutch profile tells you about curated clients. Their Google reviews tell you about everyone. A provider with 164 reviews at 4.9 (Digital Boardwalk) has demonstrated something at scale that 5 reviews at 5.0 cannot.
If you’re in healthcare, legal, financial services, or defense, yes. HIPAA, CMMC, FINRA, and PCI-DSS all create specific compliance requirements that a generalist MSP may not handle well. Ask to see dedicated compliance pages on their site, not just a mention in a bullet list. Real specialization looks like named certifications, documented frameworks, and client references in your vertical. Florida’s defense contractor corridor (Tampa/Pensacola) and healthcare concentration make this particularly relevant in this state.
Trust Scores are reviewed and updated on a regular research cycle — at minimum every six months, and sooner when significant changes occur: provider acquisition or closure, significant review score changes, a new dominant provider entering the Florida market, or new award list publications. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent data collection cycle. Award scores update following each annual publication cycle (Channel Futures MSP 501 in summer, CRN MSP 500 in spring).
